Well then, start writing a book!

Actually quite some way into writing one at the mo.

Its based on experiences of myself and friends in HM forces, well the army.

I've just hit a moral 'stop point' right now as one of the principal events is clearly something that happened to someone who used to be a good mate. We've fallen out a while back and now i dont think its ethical to use an event in his life in my novel.

Is the issue that they didn't know it was a joke, or that they didn't think it was a joke that was appropriate for the forum? I'd guess the latter.

Oh most certainly the latter.

Like i say, i was amused not outraged.

Just bored and as ive mentioned in the past this forum is becomming quite an enjoyable part of my online social life (i spend more time on it than facebook) and i enjoy the majority of members of this communities views and musings

hence i tend to share my experience of the forum here, with that community.

Honestly it was a throwaway OP that then led into some interesting banter between people i like and respect on here.

I merely thought it was crazy how something so clearly a joke and in no way that i could see 'offensive' would upset someone enough, or that much.

I cant think of anything on here i've ever felt the need to report. Even when some people have (rarely) been abusive to others as its their issue to do that if *they* are offended.

I was also honestly just asking whoever it was who reported me to discuss it with me via PM, i'd love to understand their viewpoint, it might help me not put up something in future that they might find distressing.

Please, my main forum I frequent I still average about 21 posts per day over the last 11 years or so, and that's including years where I hardly post. 84.592 posts there at the moment. That puts me in the 171st place, so respectable.

In comparsion to my 2000 posts here in five months ....

my main wwii forum ive put 3000 posts on in nearly a DECADE

I just find the community here so much more open and friendly in general.

My earlier 'thank you' post to you all for being good 'online company' and civil was quite genuine
