Homing Missiles can't be stopped by what?

By heychadwick, in X-Wing Rules Questions

The text of the card says that the defender cannot spend evade tokens during this attack.

I know there has been change changes and such with C-3PO and auto-blaster and a few other things. What does this mean for Homing Missiles? Is it only that the evade tokens that you get as an action or such can't be used? Can C-3PO be used?

It doesn't mean anything for Homing Missiles.

The change was that you couldn't spend evade tokens, like you get from the Evade Action, or the evade result from C-3PO, when an attack says you can't cancel <something> with evade dice.

So you can't use those things to cancel the <hits> with an autoblaster.

But Homing Missile is the reverse, you could never spend evade tokens, only use the modified dice results. I don't think 3PO is factors into this, as it adds an evade result, not a token.

Homing missile stops the evade token from being spent against it - so the token can't be spent to add an evade result to the dice pool.

Evade results, from the dice or another source (like C3PO), can still be used to defend against H.M., just not evade token results (because they can't be spent)
