Well, as you could figure out, im playing tomorrow a list I have tested with some variations lately. I actually like it a lot, but want to maximize the possibilities against every list. the thing is, I need to be able to shut down phantoms, I should be able to fight a loaded Han or at least deal VERY fast with his miniswarm. finally, I should be able (hardest part) to deal with a 4 ship rebel list that include 2-3 B-wings.
Kath Scarlett + Predator + Gunner
Cpt Oicunn + Predator + Gunner + Ysanne
That list has a great firepower, and a very limited control via stress. As the two ships are able to cause a lot of damage even through high agility defense, the plan is make them chew through a lot of beef shooting one or two ships down before any of mine are destroyed. This version MAY change Oicunn for a Kenkirk, changing Predator for determination, but I feel that could make Kath Scarlett a very clear first objective, since nobody is going first for the tank.
I think two ship builds NEED gunner, or gunners if possible, given how limited 6 red dice could be. But, to make harder the enemy choice, reducing firepower, I may run the following list:
Kath Scarlett + Lone wolf + Rec Spec
Cpt Oicunn + Predator + Gunner + Ysanne + Rebel Captive.
Thus limiting offensive side of kath, the mindgames are a main part of the strategy, If you go first for Oicunn, you will get stressed many times with your most PS pilot, and Kath is very hard to get down if she is the last pilot alive. The real deal here is, I'm not planning a ram party with Oicunn, nor I want to keep range 3+ with Kath, but Lone Wolf and Oicunn's ability really mess up with the opponent's head. When facing Oincunn people try to maneuver avoiding the impact, instead of making the best possible decision. with Lone Wolf, people assume you're keeping your distance, and most of the times react to that possibility. A variant could be Rebel captive on kath, Mara jade in Oicunn.
Do you have any ideas/advice? Do I lack mobility? I trully think mobility against the sh**load of turrets out there is not the way now, but... who knows?
PS: Sorry about my English skills, since I'm a foreigner desecrating your language ![]()
