Picture Posting

Ok, I AM GETTING REALLY UPSET...HOW DO YOU F-ING POST PICTURES OR PASTE STUFF FROM PAINT ON THIS DANG THING!!?!!!??!!!

Upload image to internet (using photobucket or some trash), get url for image, and use insert image button or command "img" image link "/img" replacing quotes for brackets, around the link. enjoy.

What if you don't have a photobucket??

Get one. Its free.

In my experience, you can also post photos from Facebook using the same method. Just right click the image so you can copy the image URL.

So if I had a photo or video on my phone to share, I couldn't just press a couple of buttons and vuala. I've got to upload them on the web first.

Did I get that right?

Yes you will need somewhere to host the image or video and then link it.

By just posting links, you're not uploading big files to the boards, eating up their servers. I believe all free message boards run by gaming companies are like this.

Correct. FFG is not a hosting service.

Not keen on Facebook but guess I can open a blogger or YouTube account. Or both. That explains why I couldn't record my voice and use it to start a topic.

Good to know.

Technically, the word is “voilà” (sometimes mis-spelled “voila”), and is French. But many people don’t seem to know that.

Anyway, yes — most places that run a discussion board (like this one) do not allow the board itself to host images. You can post URLs from most any other site you want, including tumblr, wikipedia, your own blog, etc…, but you can’t post them directly to this site.

Use imgur.com. It even has an app for mobile uploading.

Was on predictive text at the time and wasn't corrected. Was a guess at spelling. Yep, my phone has it as voilà.

Maybe he actually meant "vuala" which - unknown to us - is an ancient meso-american indian word for "joystick" or "computer mouse"?

And why would the meso-americans know about peripherals...?

The bane of any sports fan...

Noooooo!

I'm not even a sports fan and I hate those vuvuzelas.

Last time I try to use French. Now where's the rendezvous? I'm en route now.

But, Moi Dibe, you are such a connoisseur with an interesting savoir-faire.

Vuvuzelas. Almost as bad as Thunder sticks.
