Help me with this screwy Bomber/Shuttle list

I've got a weird core of a list rolling around in my head:

Jendon 26, ST321 3, Weapon Engineer 3 = 32

Scimitar Squadron Pilot 16, Concussion Missiles 4, Proximity Mine 3 = 23

22 points left
The idea is that Jendon starts tagging important enemy units and passing TLs to the bombers. By the time the enemy is in range, one or hopefully both of the bombers should have target locks on an enemy, and let loose a pair of Range 3 Concussion Missile attacks with Focus. That plus the shuttle's attack should put a pretty big dent in anything. The problem is I don't know bombers that well, and I know shuttles even less. With the remaining points, I'm thinking Backstabber or Mauler Mithel to help with the knife-fight. I also want to upgrade the shuttle to do something beyond feeding Target Locks to the Bombers (and Fighter in the close-in fight). So what do I do with 22 points (minus a 4th ship) to make my shuttle do something useful in its own right? I'm also thinking some control in the form of Flechettes or Ion Pulse Missiles, or an Ion Cannon could be useful. There's obviously not enough points for all of this stuff, but I can do some of it. What do you all think?

Use the guy that let's everyone reroll secondary weapon dice. I heard that he is pretty good. Don't put ordnance on him though, it will mess with targeting priorities that way.

I would give Jendon a Fire Control System. It works so well with Weapon Eng and the Title. I would up the scimitars to Gamma's to take them out of predator range and give you a little ps bump. Then add in Backstabber. You have a strong alpha strike, but you lake a real closer.

Jonus changes the list too much, he takes the place of Jendon and doesn't help the long range alpha strike, which is the point of this list.

Fire Control System is a definite must. I kept running through cards for the shuttle and for some reason just kept sliding by that one.

Mauler Mithel 17, Veteran Instincts 1 = 18
That's 98 points. Mithel with VI isn't a great closer, but PS9 with a barrel roll and some punch is better than Backstabber, I think. 2 points could be a flechette torpedo. I like the idea of passing off Target Locks to the bombers at first, then boosting Mithel once things get close.
