Thank You All

By Moah Deeb, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I've been a visitor to this forum for some time. Always in the background, not joining in. Mostly because I was trying to decide which RPG to play.

Reading your many topics has been fun, informative and inspired me to start adventuring in a galaxy far far away.

Just wanted to say a big hearty THANK YOU to you all.

Welcome to forums! Glad to see another join the ranks :)

Inspiring someone to join the EotE fun isn't hard, at all. In fact, I would say it's, "All too easy."

But that didn't work out so well when someone else said it so I'll avoid the temptation... except, now that I think about it, that didn't work out so well for that same someone, either...

Oh well! Welcome to the galactic rim. Scum to the left. Villainy to the right. Enjoy your stay!

Arrr..

Scum to the left. Villainy to the right.

Scum to the left. Villainy to the right.

Here I am. Stuck in Mos Eisly with you..

Don't know why I came here tonight

Got a feeling that something ain't right

So scared of being shot in my chair

Of gunfights on cantina stairs

Scum to the left of me

Villainy to the right

Here I am

Stuck in Mos Eisly with you

Now we just need to replace "you" with "Luke" and someone do a parody video with Han singing the lyrics and Ben and Chewie in the chorus.

Too bad about that marshal that lost his ear.

Too bad about that marshal that lost his ear.

Wonder if it got loaned to Caesar....

Never saw the movie, but like the song.

I love posts like this - a boost die for community spirit!

Welcome aboard!

I am completely lost and I somehow inspired this!

Well... Not completely. I'm guessing it's a song. Is it a Weird Al song? I Googled to no avail....

Welcome aboard, hope you get inspiration and any help you need from the community here

Bah, you pesky kids.

In my day, 'Star Wars' didn't have 'prequels'; or 'special editions'. Han Shot First, and we liked it!

You better not watch the original Star Wars then, it's a "Dad movie". :)

I'm 31 not sure if I qualify as old or young.

But I remember the original OT as a boy and Han shot first. I like the prequels and new OT, it's Star Wars, but that was an insult to Han Solo's intelligence.

Thanks

I can now reword the lyrics to Star Wars "stuck in Mos Eisly" and maybe get a spoof music video done.

You don't know how right you are. I didn't care for Star Wars until I played EotE. Until then, it was exactly that: a Dad movie. He made me watch it!

Now I can't get enough.

Fwiw, I don't buy Greedo shooting first. It would have been stupid for Han to wait for him to shoot first. Not to mention I prefer my Han being a bad boy.. I mean SCOUNDREL. I can't see the crazy special effects in that scene that everyone complains about so that has no bearing on my impression. It's wrong even without looking terrible. In fact, since all of the Special Edition changes are visual, I don't really have a Special Edition, either!

Even a pesky kid can share at least some of your experiences!

So what inspired you to start playing Edge?

The Force is strong in this one.

My Dad was already running a game for my brother and some of his friends. One of them moved so they had an opening. My dad suggested getting me to join. At first, it was Pathfinder but that didn't work at all for me. They switched to EotE a couple of weeks later and I gave RPG's another try and I've been hooked on EotE and Star Wars since!
