Hello!

The basic Arkham Horror rules says, when you are attempting to close a gate, that you can make a fight or lore check using modifier show in the gate.
Can a player use weapons in this fight or lore check (like a combat check), or not?

Its my understanding that weapons are used in combat checks, which are different from fight checks...

Anything that adds a bonus to fight or lore checks could still be used be used though.
