The other night a guy in our group wanted to use a shuttle to drop off a diva on a planet, which was no big deal. However, the route he chose took it through a space that was occupied by pirates.

According to the rules, shuttles ignore HAZARDS, but pirates are not listed as a hazard per se. So what happens? Can the shuttle be raided like a normal ship? Can the shuttle even go through the pirate space? Or does the shuttle, in fact, ignore the pirates?
