I'm sure most of you have noticed an abundance of OT threads lately, most of them pertaining to EP7. I get that there's a lot of interest for the movie, especially now with the trailer being released. But FFG has made it clear they don't want OT threads of any kind, as there are other message boards online for that kind of talk (I highly recommend theforce.net).

Speaking of theforce.net, as anyone who visits their message boards could tell you, they are EXTREMELY well moderated, maybe even too well moderated for some people's tastes.

Since the FFG moderator only seems to pop up when it's most absolutely necessary, I think they should consider giving a few qualified active users the power to moderate.

Maybe they'd even give a bit of leeway on a few OT threads. I think one general EP7 thread wouldn't be so bad, but we don't need a dozen different ones, unless they pertain to future ships for the game of course.

I find some of them a welcome distraction from the rate my list, fix the advanced, ship X is OP, Imperial large ship prediction, wave X speculation, etc threads .. that is just me though.

I don't think it is out of control. Most are clearly marked 'OT' and have relevance to the game (even if it is simply SW related).

Likewise, its nice to have some non game content thats still SW related.

Im enjoying a lot of those threads more than the whinging that happens everytime something comes along someone doesnt like.

personally, leave it as it is, the threads should stay they add colour and variety to the forum.

At one point it was all threads about phantoms and phat hans and it was really dull for a while.

Seems like it would be easier to add an OT forum for general Star Wars talk.

I'd be very happy with a sub forum for star wars universe talk.

Its weird how we have one sticky thread.

just five of those would fix everything

one for painting, one for or talk, one for rants, one for totally OT non SW stuff (because it happens anyway).

Then the rest of the forum is for chat about game play.

I mean tons of people post rules problems/queries in this section and argue for days and its not the right place but i just dont care that much.

persoanlly i try and use the rules bit for rules questions even if it means responses take longer and are fewer
