I ran this list as a bit of a lark, but it performed remarkably well.
Prototype Pilot - Proton Rockets X 5
I matched up against what I though was going to be my toughest matchup a 7 tie swarm. I started off going slow to see what the swarm was up too. Then since i moved first I went full speed forward with 2 awings and slightly less with the rest.
The front 2 awings managed to cause a pileup and most ties got no actions. I weathered the shooting without losing any ships, but one of the rear awings did have to burn focus to survive (3 eyeballs) so no prockets for him.
My return fire a procket one shotted Dark Curse (since you dont have to spend the focus to shoot), the other procket killed a Black squadron tie. With the numbers evened it became a chaotic dogfight, but I used my speed (with boosts) to hit and run, slowly thinning out the swarm.
I found that having those prockets late in the battle causes your opponent to forget them, though I did lose an awing with his rockets unfired.
The end result was 3 awings left to no ties. This list was much better than I thought it would be and it was really fun to play.
