It is almost certain to be a gozanti. It's the only ship that is officially canon that fits into the same ballpark for size.
Id rather it be a vigil though, because at least that LOOKS more like a star destroyer.

I had a very enjoyable time, leaning back in a lazy boy, and reading this thread ...
It seems that as far as X-Wingers are concerned, the most POWERFUL, THREATENING, "THOSE ARE FIGHTING WORDS" words that can be used in this forum are:
Star Destroyer, Wedge-Shaped, etc.
When a new thread pops up about imperial huge, I know I am going to have a good laugh, and forget about my worries for a bit ... so ... THANK YOU !!!

this is gonna make me unpopular =D ... but...
WHY DO PEOPLE MAKE STUPID BUSINESS DECISIONS?
Cause, they are peoples... business peoples.
Still don't have engine upgrades because I still can't get Falcons which I don't want that much anyways. 2015 yolo wat. Bs business. Sheeeet.
The money FFG could have made If they could even slightly control their production better. (See Apple. Tim Cook was in production. ). The money that they're wasting making demand go down from less games played and introduced and etc. and lower demand for rebel huge ships because no imperial ships. Hard counter meta leading to a build with 30%+ domination at all time periods. First swarm then Falcons.
Rawr! My horrendous problems in life!
In the manual of the Decimator is a picture with a wedge-shaped ship that isn't part of the SW Universe so long, as far as I know:
I recognized it as a Light Star Destroyer - by Fractalsponge
I was amazed.
As from the numbers and size of its Turbo Lasers, it would be right fitting ...
to face the rebel CR90 on an equal power level.
So will THIS SHIP be the Imperial Epic War Vessel by any chance?
If not this then I want FFG to Build us the TIE Interdictor. As a Imperial you cant say no to the awesomeness of a Anti-Cap Anti-Base Bomber that hold 4 bombs 8 missiles and 8 torps. At least during epic, a ship like this in normal play or at a 50 pt game would get killed and or be pointless.
WANT IMPERIAL PIE!

How much different is IMPERIAL PIE from American Pie? ![]()
On the other hand: Why should FFG print an image of this ship by Fractalsponge ...
which isn't even canon ...
If not for a very good reason ... ??
They did have a very good reason.
It's hard to tell from the size of the picture, but the ships to the side of the Procursator's bow are actually VT-49 Decimators. So, they scoured their picture database for reusable art and found a cool picture of a Procursator with VT-49 escort and tossed it in.

If you look at the physical manual, the picture is much larger and the VT-49s are quite clear.

Vigil, Lancer and Gozanti are the obvious choices. No reason we shouldn't have all 3 within a few years.
Im starting to believe that the reason for the FFG -Asmodee merge stems from Asmodee employees wanting to know when they can get their navire impérial énorme.
Santa baby, just slip an epic under the tree, Gozanti?
With a TIE advanced upgrade or two,
Vigil or Procursator, both will do,
So hurry with an announcement tonight!

I recognized the VT-49s the first time. And unless the VT-49 fleet is crusing in a greater distance then the Procursator, its turrets are the most gigantic ones in the universe.

Although probably more in scale with real life battleship turrets. A few big guns actually makes much more sense than the star wars "batteries of point blank range popguns" approach.
More range, greater kill power....in theory if that ship DID have turbolasers that size, nothing else in setting would ever touch it unless it got swarmed.
Obligatory epic rl battleship pic for turret scale;

Technically, half or more of the ships available aren't canon.
Going by what two important writters said most recently about LEGENDS and EU its all still canon till contradicted, and even then its only the fine dets that are not canon. One of them said we as fans misunderstode the LEGENDS announcement. I really think they just back peddled after seeing the backlash the announcement caused but whatever.
I think you're overstaing how small the ImpStar turrest are...that pic isnt very clear. Granted they aren't as big as those, but here's a clearer one:
That an Imperial-II Class. Bearing in mind it's 400m longer than the one above, the turrets aren't a massive amount different in size.
Those turrets are very huge but they also are not the same design as the ones in the picture TheRealStarKiller posted.

But it is good that you're giving up hope, as should anyone looking at that picture of this Light Star Destroyer.
I believe as much in the fortune-telling powers of the cards as anyone - but maybe it's foretelling of a ship for Armada, rather than X-Wing.
I am not trying to be negative, but Epic is dead, especially when Armada comes out. Epic may live on in side games by "lifers" who have purchased every ship around. However, even now nobody really plays an epic game.
I love to play epic games but there are few people who play it.

I'd agree that epic is a hard sell. 300-point epic games take a very long time, and are not well suited for your average pick-up game.
But I do think that an Imperial epic ship (or two/three) will breathe life back into epic. Without those, epic has not really had a chance yet.
Mikael: you raise a good point, however, epic may remain for small ships. Personally, I have NO need for an Imperial Epic ship...let me swarm my ties, load my bombers an add a few interceptors and I am a happy Imperial. For me the Decimator works ok, but an epic ship, no thanks.

Okay, but that's a function of your opinion. Also, sure, you can be just as effective, if not more so, with large/small ships than with Huge ships. But I really like flying huge ships. I think they're tremendous fun, but I'm also a dyed-in-the-wool Imperial player.
I'm looking forward to Armada, but I still want a big-honking Imperial model on the board, and I want to annihilate Y-Wings with my turbolasers.
So maybe my analysis is just as much wishful thinking as yours, but I have a LOT of people in my area who have Huge ships, but have had limited occasion to fly them. They've also been reprinted by FFG. As such, they are a commercial success, so there's no reason why Epic should be declared at this stage.
If things follow to form though, the eventual Imperial epic ship will have upgrades and pilots we're going to want for regular scale games. You know people are going to buy who never intend to play epic scale games, just to get those cards. And FFG knows that too.
Epic dead? Most playgroups I know would disagree.
Great discussion, friends. I can't stay focused on that other HUGE thread because the conversation meanders too much.
Who says it has to match the Corvette? I fully expect the Imperial wedge-shaped Huge ship to cost around $120 and be worth 4-5 Epic points in the tournament format. It could be huge! If it were 4 points, we could even see the Gozanti clock in at 1 epic point, so they can both fit in a squad under the current tournament rules. The Gozanti is half the size of a GR-75, so that works. And the Procursator is many times longer than the Tantive IV. I think the Procursator is shaping up to be a likely bet.
Fingers crossed!
P.S. If you haven't already, listen to the latest Scum and Villainy Podcast to hear the designers mention their hopes for Epic play. I am encouraged, even though they weren't at liberty to talk very directly.
I hope to be wrong, you people pst good points, also an epic game against Scum would add diversity. But, sorry I do not see it happening as economics of sales take over.
Epic does not seem very popular.
But the CEO of Fantasy Flight has said that an Imperial Huge Ship is coming out. So I'll go with that.
The Procursator class* is in the "Essential Guide to Warfare" and was declared canon before legends was established.
*Yes the Fractalsponge one.
