Looking for input on "Scumstars" build

By Tsiegtiez, in X-Wing

With Scum topping out at PS7-8, I'm hoping they drive the metagame back down to those levels so we don't have to invest as heavily in a PS bid. That said, I would love to get some feedback on a "Best of the Worst" list I've been tinkering with, trying to keep with the ship models I already own! I was partially inspired by the Stay on Target and Greedo threads, so thanks Krynn007 and SableGryphon!

Dace Bonearm (23)

  • Ion Cannon Turret (5)
  • Greedo (1)
  • Determination (1)

(30)

N'dru Suhlak (17)

  • Lone Wolf (2)
  • Hot Shot Blaster (3)

Kath Scarlet (38)

  • Stay on Target (2)
  • Outlaw Tech (2)
  • Inertial Dampeners (1)
  • Proton Bombs (5)

Kath is the one really throwing me, beyond SoT and the Outlaw Tech I'm not sure where I want her upgrades to go. I really like Inertial Dampeners, that will help keep something in the auxiliary arc once a game, and for a single point I don't think it's a waste to have that option. I know she won't be able to use Stay on Target every round, but coupled with an Outlaw Tech I think it's an affordable way to keep her unpredictable and still effective in the combat round.

That said, I think I could drop the Proton Bombs to give N'dru a Hull Upgrade (to make him a full X-Wing at that point), and then either reequip a Seismic Charge to Kath or go with a different Illicit Upgrade. I'm concerned that no one is going to want to be behind her anyway, so a bomb might just be wasted points, but I haven't tried it out yet. I think a second Hot Shot Blaster could make her even more intimidating simply because she has the option of blasting something that manages to dodge both arcs, but it's three points for a single-use 3-dice attack. The one on N'dru I would rather leave, simply because he throws 4 red dice if his ability and Lone Wolf are in effect and with a free reroll he's likey to hurt something quite well, but Kath would only have it as intimidation and insurance (and it feels expensive for those generally-passive aspects).

Does anyone have any insight they'd like to share? I'd really appreciate some input!
