The cheapest HLC + Outrider combination costs as much as a naked Chewbacca.

I still don't see how people think this is worth the points.

Fair enough! I'd feel obligated to use Chewie's EPT slot and maybe a crewmember, minimum, whereas I feel like the Fringer Outrider can be made to work well as-is in the context of a larger squadron. I have nothing against Chewie though, he's a solid ship with a great pilot ability.

Without playing the YT-2400, I'm of the opinion that the title isn't worth the points. You can put an HLC on the front and have a 4 dice frontal attack. Then you can use your BR and/or EU in order to either line up a frontal attack or a 3 dice R1 turret attack. In this scenario, the HLC is obviously the primary weapon, but you also have the "fail safe" option of the turret, more than likely in R1 to make it a 3 dice turret.
