At a nerdy event and no one knows the answer. Anyone know?
What does "yt" stand for?
Yours Truly?
I believe it is not an abbreviation of anything. The YT is just a series of ships while the number is the model.
Yacht. Yes it is classified as a freighter, but it could easily be a Winnebago with wings; RV, 'land yacht'
I know in military terminology it means prototype trainer...
Yacht/Transport maybe?
Just a designation, like scions "frs".

It's the space variation of GT meaning it comes with flame decals and a card in the spokes to make it go faster. Thus the Kessel Run.
It stands for truth, justice, and the American way!

Whenever soneone says things like that I get an image of Homer Simpson smashing holes through this car with a pick axe.
You're Toast!
YT is clearly Yulani-Tycho, named for the joint designers who came up with the first entry in the line.

Why America is great:
Back to back world war champions!
Global reach and force projection: 14 Ohio-class SSBNs (the amount of power a single Ohio wields is extremely scary... look it up and compare it to all ordnance used in WW2), 21 B-2 bombers, 10 aircraft carrier strike groups, and US bases all over the world with pre-positioned air and ground assets.
Economy: largest or second largest depending on how you measure it (China is the other one).
Freedom: privacy, individual rights, speech, etc. are more sacred in America than countries that are also considered free, like the UK, Australia, and Germany.
Why America is not great:
Crime: You could write a volume of books on why crime is so prevalent in America. It could do with poverty, glorification of crime, individualism, immigration without integration, spill over through an open border, freedoms that protect criminals as well as law abiding people, etc.
Ignorance: 20-40% (depending on poll) of Americans believe the Earth is less than 10,000 years old. There are others but I'll probably offend someone here if I list them off. And it's somehow en vogue to be ignorant in America.
2 party system: while more than 2 exist and are allowed, the system will always favor two main parties. And they hate each other so much it's ridiculous. The words "liberal" and "conservative" can be a derogatory term by the other side.
Almost too many checks and balances: sometimes nothing gets done. See government shutdowns, one of which is looming as we speak, but it happens every few years it seems. And no one can do anything about it because the aforementioned two party system that doesn't work well together.
Anyway there's more both for and against, but I'm tired and really don't care enough to spend the next few hours discussing the video in detail lol. But imo, the most powerful military in the history of the world and a strong economy to keep it going is the best reason that America is currently "greatest." Freedom is second. Everything else can be fixed, but you need to be safe and have a good foundation via constitution before anything else can happen.
America isn't perfect. It has tons of flaws. But so does everywhere else.
Edited by KoshinnCan we please not have this turn into a page of jingoist crap. It was just a Superman reference.
(there is nothing bad so far, but there will be if it continues)
