Large ships & Huge pegs

My Decimator wobbles and lists on normal pegs but not on the huge ship peg.

Okay, so how do you go about doing this exactly? Is it as simple as it seems? I don't own a GR-75 or CR-90, so I'm not familiar with the super fancy peg. If I wanna throw a Decimator on one, does it all just snap together (the fancy 'huge' peg onto the 'large' ship base and the ship onto the peg) or does it require jury-rigging of some sort?

The other issue is, I'm an Imperial only player that doesn't own any Rebel ships and doesn't necessarily want a GR-75 or CR-90, 'cos really, other than the pegs, it's just useless stuff that'll sit in my closet. And who'll wanna buy a ship without the pegs?? Any clever way of getting those fancy pegs and not having to buy the ship? And don't say contact FFG and tell them my Transport didn't ship with pegs. I hate arseholes that do that.

Am I stuck buying a GR-75 I'll never use or do I hold out until they announce the Imperial huge ship?

If you don't own the current huge ships, maybe there is an aftermarket huge ship peg from shapeways. The huge ship base and peg pictured fit perfectly without modification.

These also use a slightly different base. They don't work with regular large ship bases, so you'll have to get those too.

I was surprised when I initially tested this a few months back, having assumed that they were more mass-produced than that.

I've got my Lambda and Decimator on the ones that came with my GR-75. They look great, towering over the smaller ships.

I've looked around a bit online, but haven't seen any being sold separately.

I don't usually use both huge ships at the same time so this works good for me.
