Rebel List in Need of Assistance
Edited by Rengald
If you have a Z-95 -
Airen Cracken - Ion Pulse Missile (22)
Offers a cheap high PS option, some board control (2 ion tokens is great against large ships) plus he can pass an action after attacking, which could help everyone else in your list. It'll help keep Biggs alive longer as well - R2-F2 for the extra evade, then pass an action from Cracken so Biggs can focus for defence as well.
Edited by FTS GeckoAiren Cracken with a Hull Upgrade. Giving Biggs a focus as well.
Or what FTS Gecko said of course.
Great minds, Dagonet! ![]()
B-Wing Dagger Squadron w/ Adv Sensors (X2)..... 50pts
X-Wing Biggs w/R2-F2........................... 28pts
Your math is off. 2x Dagger w/Adv Sensors is 54 points not 50. You must mean Blue Squadron, 2 of those with AdvSen is 50. Also a Red Squadron X wing is 23 points not 22. So you can't fit one in anyway.
Some options for 22 points.
Lt Blount and a Assault Missile
Airen Cracken with a 2-3 point EPT.
HWK Rebel Operative with Ion Cannon
Green Squad Pilot with Refit and 5 points of EPT.
Edited by VanorDMThat's so 2013...
No really, upgrade to Daggers, drop the droid and add a Rookie (or was it red Squadron) and you have 2013 World champion list.
What i did out of it was downgrade to Blues (i believe yours are also Blue squadron because otherwise it's 54 points) run biggs naked and have 3x blue with sensors and Biggs. Works excellent if you dont fly against Obsidian swarms...
My only problem with the Z-95 is that ultimately its a 2 attack 2 evade ship with a simple dial... aside from a litle focus on Biggs what do I actually gain? A high pilot skill on a 2 attack ship is nothing to write home about. The pulse missile is an idea but thats one use and then I'm back to a plain Z-95.
Sorry for the incorrect names, I'm pulling the list from memory so sorry about that. definitely meant blue squadron and not dagger. Thanks for the correction.

The dial is as simple as that of an X-Wing.
And yes, it's slightly less powerful than an X-Wing but you get free actions to increase the survivability of Biggs.
You could also drop Decoy on Cracken, to have one of the blues shoot at 8?

Well, your original idea was for an A-Wing - another 2 attack dice ship. Don't underestimate the utility of passing actions - not just to Biggs but to the rest of your squad when needed as well. Having a (relatively) high PS pilot tag along can make a big difference as well.
At the end of the day, as you said yourself you have 22 points, if you're set on a 3 attack dice ship, you're effectively limited to a Rookie Pilot, another (naked) Blue Squadron or a Blaster Turret / Ion Turret Rebel Operative.
Edited by FTS GeckoThats why it was an A-wing with outmaneuver. The a wing is capable of getting into position to take advantage of that upgrade... and its has 3 evade...
but cracken is looking to have more utility.
Edited by RengaldCracken with Squad Leader can be quite useful.
HLC on the B-Wings and a Bandit squad for bumping?
HLC on the B-Wings and a Bandit squad for bumping?
Seconded for funs.
Besides, OP didn't leave much room for a PS bid for high PS anti-Phantom anyway.
I mean, stick a HWK in there? Take off R2F2 who isn't cost efficient.
Roark ICT 24 points. Rebel Op ICT 21
If you don't care about Phantoms, then take Airen or even another B. Then R2F2 might be worth it, but still a long shot.
also, since cracken passes that action during the combat phase, it allows your Bs to possible barrel roll and get into better attacking position after everyone else has moved. that's part of what makes the Ysanne + engine + PTL combo so powerful on the decimator, that timing on the movement.

My tipo. Either fly Biggs naked and take ships with good attack and bad defense like 3 Bluewings with Adv. Sensors. Then focus him every turn and accept the fact that he dies when he dies, having protected the squad for 1-2 turns while they dish it out.
Or take a synergy ship with him and equip him for survival. Take your droid plus Garven Dreis for example, or Airen since he does the same for cheaper.
Maybe this? Max out on cheap ships, protected by Biggs and Cracken. Okay the B's lack the Sensors here...

PILOTS
Airen Cracken (19)
Biggs Darklighter (25)
Bandit Squadron Pilot (12)
Blue Squadron Pilot (22) x 2
I'm surprised no one has suggested everyone's favorite upgrade these days - Experimental Interface. Put that on Biggs and it drops you down to 19 points remaining. Then, take a Green w/ CR + LW as a flanker (Or downgrade to a FCS on one and replace LW with PTL).
The fact that you're doing greens to clear stress really doesn't matter much since you'll want to slow roll anyways for the first turn or two of combat so you can have Biggs at R3 and the B's at R1 (optimal placement obviously).
My 2 cents...
Biggs Darklighter + R2-F2 + Experimental Interface (31 points)
Nera Dantels + FCS + B-Wing/E2 + Wingman + Jan Ors (33 points)
3x Bandit Squadron (36 points)
100 points total
You get a Biggs who can Focus, then have it changed to an Evade via Jan, and then use EI to use F2s action. You then have a 3 agi with a Evade to use. At the start of combat have Nera use Wingman to take the Stress off Biggs. You then have 3 straight 2 Bandits as well.
I would keep the 3 Bandits in front with Biggs and Nera in back. Just keep a nice tight formation and let Biggs do his job and the others do their's.
Oh and yeah I know Nera looks like a waste because of her ability and no torpedo on her, but she is the lowest point cost B-Wing with an EPL. Plus she has the same PS as Biggs so you are only dealing with 5s and 2s which mean those Bandits can even become annoying blockers.
