The End Times baseless speculation thread

By cps, in Dark Heresy General Discussion

Ooh, you just had to say that name, didn't you?.... Wait, no, this is the End Times thread, not the Missing Legions thread. That thread spun into unholy flame wars long, long ago, and I don't want to see that happen again.

On the other hand, NO, Nurgle can Not have Isha, the Emperor has to rescue her so the other Eldar gods will like him and Ynnead can think he's even more awesome and start to get the hots for him.

Before my time i think, and kinda sad I missed it :D (yeah there's a little bit of troll blood in my veins)

I was kind of hoping for Cegorach to pants the Emperor the moment he makes his big re-entrance.

The Emperor Returned- God mode: "I AM THE EMPEROR OF MANKIIIIIIIIIIND!!!!"

*gets pie in the face*

While I don't have the events of the end time worked out exactly I do have a picture of what the galaxy looks like after. The first thing to set the end in motion is the Astronomicon surges/pulses and then goes dim. Almost out. This does a few things. It signals its exact location to the Tyranid. It pushes most of the warp storms and disturbances out of the Segmentum Solar but sends those storms out like waves through the rest of the galaxy. It sets off a galaxy wide Whaaaagh!!! It disrupts Imperial movement allowing a Black Crusade to take the Cadian gates long enough to muster forces outside of the Eye of Terror and head for Terra. It wakes up the Dragon on Mars. The Infinity Circuits on all the craft worlds light up, signaling their location to their enemies. The Dark Eldar take advantage of the news and start raiding, torturing, and enjoying themselves so much you might think they were trying to birth another Slaanesh or Eye of Terror all on their own. I will post what I have for the aftermath shortly.

Oh yes, I almost forgot, the End Times will also feature the adorable pair of Lofn and Lolicron! While the half-space elf runs around using her Ultimate puppy-dog eyes to convince humans and Eldar not to kill each other, Lolicron (who is in fact barely legal at the age of sixty million and eighteen and thus not loli at all) will be reprogramming as many zombie robots as she can find to help fight off all the bad guys (including Trazyn the Infinite, who keeps trying to add her to his private collection)

Ah another thread that needs some purging.

U no like xenos-loli? How about adepta sororita-loli?

Now I believe you should fear the wrath of Lyn.

I'm sorry, I'm already corrupted by 4chan. As long as they don't post Rule 34 or pages from that silly Space Wolf comic, I'll just shake my head and walk by.

I suppose Robin and Ramellan are like two chemicals that are absolutely okay if stored separately, but if you put them together something is bound to explode. :P

... or pages from that silly Space Wolf comic,

There's a Space Wolf comic?

*shudder*

Thanks! :D

Hey, it's not as if we posted that NSFW strip of the futanari daemonette and the imperial guardsman. :D

To bad really, part 3 is actually quite funny.

Here have some cultist-chan! :)

Too bad this place isn't safe for schlicktau (it's not safe for her, isn't it?) Add her and an Eldar to this and we'd have every faction in the setting represented.

I have to admit I do like cultist-chan.

I haven't seen any loliorks, thank the emperor!

Oooh chibi-zaghskull! kawaii! :D

Her creator made a lot of funny stuff. A very "basic" drawing style compared to professional artists, but the contents are often quite hilarious.

Oh, they're out there.

Yeah, her character is really just interesting. One of the few undivided characters I feel really works well. They're generally hard to present.

I love that FFG put some of our fan-created stuff in their books as semi-canon material. Castus Grendel, Boone and Commissar Raege, Just As Planned!, and maybe even LIIVI n' Taldeer. :) almost makes me wish there were more of it in GW's stuff. Sigh... You guys know of any other fun fan-created characters I should know about?

The psyker on the Black Crusade cover looks awfully close to Cultist-chan... :P

I know this may sound weird given characters such as Marbo, but I on the other hand would prefer if GW's material would remain more serious. My own preference is that the tongue-in-cheek humour should be a result of just how crazy things in this setting are, without actually turning it into a comedy. Not that I dislike the concept of 40k jokes, but that's what I have the internet for. ;)

That silly LIVI thing is in. Don't get me wrong, it's important to understand that even in the Grim Darkness of the 41st milleninum that people still have the capability of being in love...but still.

Also what cover are you looking at? She doesn't look a thing like her. You on spook?

I'm not familiar with "LIVI". Can someone give me a brief explanation please?

EDIT: Oh, it's 'LIIVI'. Never mind; I found it.

Related question though: where has this been made canonical?

"cannonical" in FFG games. There's a quote in a Dark Heresy book. Radical's I believe.

Hair colour, general clothing style, obviously being a psyker - but most obviously that giant pointy wheel stuck to her back.

When I mentioned it as an off-hand comment towards Mr. Culexus ages ago, this was his response:

"I don't like to jump to conclusions, but I do kinda think so.
One main reason, I guess would be the fact that, generally, Cultists were never drawn with wheels on their backs. They were always drawn with trophy racks (just a basic 3 prongs). I ignorantly drew cultist with a chaos wheel/star instead.
A female cultist with redeyes and a chaos wheel? Could just be a coincidence. Very likely. But I will wonder."

Some of FFG's books. One or more writers just enjoy inserting funny references a lot, it seems.

Sigh, LIIVI and Taldeer, Boone and Raege, cultist-chan and Dranon. Why do I have to keep looking up fan-stuff to find any romance in Warhammer? There was a quote once about it, that some random character made about love in the 41st millenium, a really good one. Ugh, It's all a blank now, and I know that in the grim darkness of the far future there really are more hardcore things to be doing... Sigh, but I miss it. I do. I should go read some fan fiction. Get my sugar kicks that way.

"Love is a battlefield"? :D It does have a 40k ring to it.

I tend to stay away from fanfic, with my luck I'll come across some squicktastic Eidolon on Fulgrim yaoi fan fic.

I get my sugar kicks from Pretty Cure anime.

It's something like even love can bloom on a battlefield.

cultist-chan and Dranon.

Ain't no romance there, he's a caregiver.
