I know I haven't been this giddy about a game in a while, so I'm pumped!
Although as for Star Wars board games we should give credit were credit is due .
WEG was the best. I had good times with WotC's RPG, but WEG had great minis a a fun RPG system.
I need to try the FFG RPG.

Last bit of information I have heard from Good Games (Australian Distributor) is that there is some 'licensing problem' and they don't think they will have it to distribute until February?!?!?!?!

Yea, and the added Star Wars miniatures without trying to break your bank account is an added plus.
For me I get three things out of Imperial Assault, the campaign, the skirmish and the miniatures for my EotE/AoR/FaD games.
Also, X-wing doubles for my RPG ship combat as well.
It's synergy galore.

Mine in Kentucky is telling me the same, febuaury 15th.
Here is what it looks happened? The game is released Thursday but limited. So yes the game is getting released in Q4 2014 but very limited. Most places look to get them in Feb it looks like.
Don't think so, I payed in full right after it was announced.
Maybe its just licensing in Australia as this would have been caught in EU at Essen or USA at GEN Con as license lawyers are pretty sharp and need to act quickly.

If that was the case the delay at the distributors makes even less sence. With a limited release I'd assume it would have been shipped already.

No. No I am not. I've never trolled about any information I have had shared with me from my LGS owner or other sources. If you too are buying from a shop that uses Good Games, get them to try and order through Aetherworks. My LGS has decided to go through them, and they are talking about us getting IA by weeks end or early next week.

It's fabulous. It's very little work for the GameMaster (contrasted to nearly all the other RPGs out there), and it makes for fun, innovative, and exciting combat. The narrative dice mechanic is simply RPG-Genius.
Called my LGS today to get an update. They said the destributor is hoping for (but not committing to) a 12/15 release date. One reason, appraently, is that not all distributers have them yet (we have them ready to go in AZ, but apparently they are not yet ready to go across the US... and probably the world). Really hoping FFG changes the status soon, or at least that they are ok with a very short or no shipping to stores window. Fingers crossed we'll have them soon!

Interesting, I found this forum this morning under the board game section on the website and it seems to be in the miniatures game section now. Was I just confused this morning or did it actually move? Maybe this has to do with the rumored licensing issue...

Its been there for a while but it did move a month or so ago.
It moved, and yes, it has to do with the fact that FFG are allowed to make Star Wars miniatures games but not board games. They moved the main game entry quite awhile back. I'm thinking moving the forum might require a bit more work so it took them longer.
