Tycho rises

By polmoneys, in X-Wing

In my local meta turrets (Donuts, VT with EU) and stress show up at every list. The way I'm dealing with it, funny as it sounds, is to add more mobility than ever to every list. It works.

For 28 points a new hero emerges, the ultimate wingman and my autoinclude when playing rebels. Let me elaborate some of the virtues and please share any builds you think make sense:

1- use PTL every turn and keep the dial open

2- hard 1s all day

3- boost to R1 and beat Dash all day long with 3 red die

4- add VI and now you can chase phantom's decloak paths (hard 1 moves again)

5- shoot first and shut down Rebel Captive, like wingman EPT free of range. Even for Han (if thats your thing)

Two lists that hopefully illustrate the above:

### A ###

Tycho Celchu — A-Wing 26

Push the Limit 3

Chardaan Refit -2

Veteran Instincts 1

A-Wing Test Pilot 0

Keyan Farlander — B-Wing 29

Stay On Target 2

Advanced Sensors 3

Etahn A'baht — E-Wing 32

Push the Limit 3

Fire-Control System 2

R2 Astromech 1

### B ###

Do you play Thycho? Any squad worth sharing?

I played this list last night, I call it Rebel Interceptors:

Corran Horn

PTL

R7-T1

FCS

Tycho

AWTP

CR

PTL

Expert Handling

Jake Farrel

AWTP

CR

PTL

Predator

All 3 have the ability to boost and barrel roll (though with restrictions on the boost for Corran)

A blast to play, even have footage of one of the games that I intend to put up on YouTube, though I was playing R5-P9 instead of R7 T1 on Corran.

Tycho is a madman...

Tycho + chardaan + title

Daredevil + ptl

Experimental interface

finish the squad please :)

That is the squad... You play at a point deficit, and win!

(I'll edit something in later, when I'm at my saved lists, and not on a train.)

I've got this in my list of squads to try in Wave 5:

37 Tyco, PTL, EH, Prockets, EI, Test Pilot

31 Jake, PTL, VI, Prockets, Test Pilot

15 Prototype, Reift

15 Prototype, Reift

-98-

When Autotrhusters arrive add them to Jake.

I really like popping Expert Handling on Tycho, frequently paired with PTL for hyper-mobility.

I just put this together the other day. As soon as my Rebel Aces arrive, it looks like a blast to try:

STRESS EATER

Keyan Farlander (29)
+ Fire Control System (2)
+ Stay on Target (2)
Jek Porkins (26)
+ Hull Upgrade (3)
+ Push the Limit (3)
+ R5-D8 (3)
Tycho Celchu (26)
+ Chardaan Refit (-2)
+ A-Wing Test Pilot (0)
+ Experimental Interface (3)
+ Push the Limit (3)
+ Expert Handling (2)
Tycho gets to perform three(!) out of the five actions (Barrel Roll, Boost, Evade, Focus, Target Lock) every. single. turn. Granted, one must be Barrel Roll, but that will also remove enemy TLs. Porkins is always fun to play. He can shed stress from a K-Turn, and still come out the other side with Focus, TL, and potentially no stress. Hull and R5-D8 keep him from exploding prematurely. Keyan makes sure his target never gets away with Stay on Target, and has Focus + TL every attack as well with his ability and FCS.
Alternatively, I also like this B-Wing build:
Ibtisam (28)
+ B-Wing/E2 (1)
+ C-3PO (3)
+ Adrenaline Rush (1)
With C-3PO and a re-roll on defense, Ibtisam has a bit of extra survivability. She has to use her maneuvers to stress herself (or shoot at a Rebel Captive or something), but the B-Wing's got plenty of them. Alternate with greens, go white, or pop Adrenaline rush for a surprise K-Turn while maintaining re-rolls.
