Critique my YT-2400 Build: Dash and Corran
Edited by gundamv
I'm looking forward to running Dash and Corran too. I like your build but worry that Whisper will give you issues. She'll shoot before either of your ships and an HLC doesn't stack damage fast enough against a cloaked phantom.
My corran build, therefore, is VI, FCS, R2D2. Whisper is guessing where to decloak and if wrong, is getting shot with 2 agility.
I feel like Corran Horn works better as a center piece to the list, instead of throwing him as a support ship. Phantoms are already pretty rough for Outriders, so I like running a bunch of Z-95s just for the extra arcs and blocking. If you absolutely insist on running Corran with Dash, then I would replace Predator with Fire Control System.
I thought about that Corran build too, but didn't know how FCS would work. How would it work? (I don't use FCS much, though I certainly have the card).
FCS -- you shoot normally. After shooting you get a target lock on whatever your shot at. End of turn you use Corrans ability to shoot again, but this time you have a target lock. Spend it(if needed), then at the end of this shot, you regain a target lock on what you just shot at.
My normal Corran build is Push the Limit, Shield Upgrade, Fire Control System, R2-D2. (I stole this build from the 14 year kid running this at worlds) Ive played it a few times and love it. Its too expensive to run with a fully loaded Dash/Outrider though

Basically, FCS gives you a similar function as predator, while also increasing your PS--for the same cost as predator.
PtL gives you even more action economy, but costs more and leaves you exposed to PS 9s (and 8s depending on initiative). Plus the E-wing has a great dial when it has full access.
I like the VI/R2D2/FCS setup. Push the limit works great on Corran too, but if you face a Whisper you will probably lose that endgame with only PS8. Dash is only PS7 so it really plugs a hole if Corran is PS10.

uhhhh.. what.. No, FCS gives you an auto TL when you perform an attack.. that's all..

Sorry, I could've been more clear. I was talking about VI+FCS to replace Predator.
VI and FCS for predator. That'll help with a lot of matchups.
Fcs r2d2 vi engine upgrade
I went with something similar for a winter tournament last week. I have 0 experience with flying the e-wing and lost it pretty early in both matches. Turns out, Dash is great against chasing snubs.

Went 1-1, first game was against a dash + 2 b-wings. Dash hit the b-wings hard, but lost a shield or two. When i did a k-turn with Corran to try to get between his dash and b-wings, the b-wings were close enough where Corran did not survive. Second list was a mix of XYZ's and fell pretty quickly once they were within range of Dash.
My general strategy is to have dash fly the perimeter of the board, hoping things chase him. Corran will be placed differently in week 2 to try to get his attacks through to the later game. I like the list, but I think in my local meta, the dash+4z's would have been better.
