Rookie mistake, sorry.
YT-3700 "Chewbo" Squadron
Rookie mistake, sorry.
In both cases you would take a stress however!
Edited by ForceMYeah, I've been using PtL with Han and using NN to clear the stress more effectively. Looking through my cards today upon purchasing the YT2400, I saw Expert Handling and just thought... wow, what a combo! It was the use of the word "free" in the text that threw me. Now I'm not really sure what to do with the ship. I like the idea of a more resilient build using Chewie and Leebo. Besides that, there are so many options!
No problem, but you can use Push the limit to get 2 actions to... let's say Barrel Roll from the action bar, and then use Lando. Or take Experimental Interface and then use that to trigger Lando on top of your normal action.Rookie mistake, sorry.
In both cases you would take a stress however!
EI is the opposite. It can perform actions from cards with the Action header, but cannot be used to perform those on your action bar.
Yes indeed. It does make a difference in some cases. For example if you combine two movement actions like Boost and barrel roll.
Well, i don't follow TC tournaments so i could not possibly know that. How did the list work out?I've been a long time reader of this forum, but I had to create an account to reply to this.
It's called 'Chewbo', I took it to the top 8 in the Team Covenent Open last month
The original Chewbo:
Chewie with Predator, Gunner, Falcon title
Leebo with Predator, HLC, Outrider title
It is the ultimate blunt instrument.
Still it's a variation of the same 2 Pilots, just that mine is tankier and less agressive. So i instinctively picked the right name apparently! If you insist on your patent though i might rechtisten it "Falconriders" XD
Fly whatever you like mate, I'm not going to tell you how you should enjoy your hobby, regardless how you build it I just want the name 'Chewbo' to stick.
List worked well, to be fair I rode my luck a long way. The key to success is making the opponent smear his damage around, change up who's on point to keep them both firing as long as possible. Leebo's damage output with HLC, predator and focus is outstanding, chewie also very consistent with predator and gunner.
If I was to change it, I think I'd drop gunner off Chewie, use those points to put C3PO on him instead, and try to find another point for recce spec on Leebo. maybe this:
Chewie with Predator, C3PO, MF Title
Leebo with HLC, Outrider Title, Recce Spec, Lone wolf.
I ran this yesterday: leebo, Lone Wolf, recon, outrider, hlc. Chewie, predator, threeps, mf
Title. I was tempted to run determination as it is the Logic choice, but with recon and Wolf you mitigate so much damage its Unbelievable. The build is one of my absolute favorites right now.
I'll give this a go at the weekend. I don't have threeps yet though.
What's a good alternative?
I'm going to be trying this combo soon, I don't have a 1300 thigh, I have to borrow my brother's... What do you guys think?
YT-2400: Dash Rendar (36 + 14)
+ Lone Wolf (2)
+ Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
+ Outrider (5)
YT-1300: Chewbacca (42 + 8)
+ Push the Limit (3)

+ Nien Nunb (1)
+ Millennium Falcon (1)
Edited by warrior bungalowChewbo? That's a terrible name.
Leebacca is correct.

That's a very good build indeed. I was also tempted between Lone wolf and determination. I still don't know what to take actually. Determination spares you about 30% of the crits by just discarding the Damage. With his ability that could be quite significant because you can pick them. Lone Wolf is just more evades and more hits depending on your luck at a bargain price.I ran this yesterday: leebo, Lone Wolf, recon, outrider, hlc. Chewie, predator, threeps, mf

I'd put Determination on Leebo, and Lone Wolf on 'Bacca. It's as good as Predator against all but 1-2 PS ships offensively, and strictly better for defense and points-cost.
This is what I came up with, and I'm crazy excited for it.
Chewbacca (42)
Push the Limit (3)
Nien Nunb (1)
C-3PO (3)
Tactical Jammer (1)
Millennium Falcon (1)
"Leebo" (34)
Determination (1)
Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
Jan Ors (2)
Outrider (5)
Total: 100
The strategy is to keep Chewie in between Leebo and the opponent, forcing them to either shoot Chewie with 2-3 evades (Jan Ors could throw him another on top of C3PO and the natural), or you could attack Leebo through Chewie and deal with Chewie's tactical jammer.
Chewie also helps keep people out of Leebo's donut, and they have so many ways to skirt damage with Chewie's ability and Leebo's + Determination.
I had a very similar idea, but using Kyle instead of C-3P0 on the Falcon and pushing the Falcon up to Lando so the Outrider could always have a Target Lock-Focus. However I have found that ACTUALLY keeping them ins such a formation is incredibly hard to do in such a way that really takes full advantage of Tactical Jammer.

Lone Wolf is a unique card, otherwise that would be great ![]()

Rattt Fartttsss!!!!!!!

The good thing about it is that you really don't have to fly formation with those 2 ships. Ideally stay at range 3 from each other. If any of the 2 get swarmed by enemies the other can shoot the flies of his a...!
It's pretty obvious that the enemies need to go after Leebo actually. But if you keep him in your Backfield they kinda have to go for Chewie, or fly past him... Which is a really a bad idea! If you ignore him he will punish you. If you ignore Leebo, he will use that HLC on you hardcore!
Edited by ForceMI tried this today in a mirror match against Biggs, Luke and Horton. I found it difficult to keep Chewie and Leebo at arms' length from each other and, because of that, got very little mileage out of LW. Leebo did a decent job of frying Biggs and eventually Horton, with Chewie and Leebo finally finishing off Luke. I found it very hard to keep Horton out of my doughnut (I realise how ridiculous this makes me sound...) and had to risk flying off the board (ionised) to take him out. It was a very tough list to run, but potentially brutal if I get more competent.
For the record, here's what I used (keep in mind that I don't have Threepio):
Leebo w/ Outrider title, Recon Specialist, HLC and Lone Wolf.
Chewie w/MF title, Experimental Interface and Lando.
I'm tempted to lose Outrider title and swap it for a gunner to mitigate the crappy dice outside the firing arc. Lone Wolf AND Outrider title made positioning more difficult than I care for. I'd like to squeeze an engine upgrade onto Leebo but not sure about how to rework the list yet.
Edited by Pac_Man3DMy actual favorite build is this right now.
YT-3700 "CHEWBO"
100 points
PILOTS
"Leebo" (48)
YT-2400 Freighter (34), Determination (1), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), Nien Nunb (1), Outrider (5)
Chewbacca (52)
YT-1300 (42), Lone Wolf (2), C-3PO (3), R2-D2 (4), Millenium Falcon (1)
With R2-D2 Chewie gets another big boost to his survivability.
I lose Recon Specialist on Leebo which hurts, but he will have to make it with one focus per turn i guess!
So i took my "Can't Crit This" list yesterday
Chewbacca (42)
Predator (3)
Jan Ors (2)
Recon Specialist (3)
"Leebo" (34)
Determination (1)
Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
Recon Specialist (3)
Outrider (5)

and it lived up to its name 3 times Leebo got to throw away a Pilot crit and 1 that did get through was Thrust Control Fire (take a stress no big deal). out of 3 games it only won 1. the first was against a tie swam with a Bounty Hunter. I won that because my opponent set the swam on 1 side and the BH on the other I killed it first then the swam. next was a swam Plus shuttle lost that one because I through it would be a good idea to fly Chewe of the board after he lost 3 shields. Great strategy I recommend it for everyone. Next was Fel, Jax and Echo had Fel was dead, Jax and Echo down to 1 hull each before I made anothe dumb move and lost again.
But the biggest problem I had with all my games was the HLC on Leebo. Rolling 4 dice is great but when I was roll 3 blanks 1 hit or 2 blanks 1 hit 1 focus most of the day it was not an effective ship. I’m now thinking that the outrider needs more than just focus to modify dice if you are looking to fly a HLC outrider try very hard to put PTL, Loan Wolf or Predator if you can. If you can make those 4 dice Hit every time a 2 ship list like this will be deadly
so my improved list is
Chewbacca (42)
Predator (3)
Jan Ors (2)
Recon Specialist (3)
"Leebo" (34)
Push the Limit (3)
Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
Nien Nunb (1)
Outrider (5)

the best way i think to make Leebo strong is PTL so his attacks can hit harder and can also barrel roll and still have a chance to do some damage. I saw someone eles had Han Solo as crew for Leebo I think this is a very good idea if you dont have the points for PTL

So I ran the above set up at a store tournament over the weekend. went 4-2 and finished 7/35. Pretty happy with how the list performed.
Switching from predator to lonewolf caught me out a few times, I lost a lot of mileage out of lone wolf flying the list how I used to. I know I need to fly Leebo wider, but it just doesn't feel right to split my forces. Lonewolf plus recce spec on Leebo is a beautiful thing when it works, so I think I'll persist with it, just need to make an adjustment to my play style.
I played 3 games against Decimator + Phantom builds, including the two I lost. I believe the play is to kill the decimator early while i've got the firepower to do it, then worry about the phantom. It seems to be the powerhouse combo out of wave 5, with each ship covering the others weakness. My Chewbo build may have to evolve again.
I went for a more annoying Chewie in my list.
Chewbacca + Determination + C-3P0 + R2-D2 + Falcon + HU (54 points)
Leebo + Determination + Ion Cannon + Recon Specialist + Outrider (46 points)
I just got my outrider and decimator this week (along with a Tantive) and needed ideas so i looked up this thread.
Tonight i ran a version of this
Leebo
Determination
HLC
Outrider
Chewie
R2d2
C3p0
Predator
Millenium Falcon
Against a
Decimator battering ram with ruthlessness and anti pursuit lasers
Lambda with hlc and tactical jammer
Mauler Mithel
Managed to keep Dash and range 2-3 all game and used the falcon for closer damage. All in all pretty good game but that sure was quite a bit of hp to chew through. Was very glad to have snapped my 5 game losing streak.
Oya!
I have had good results with:
Leebo
Lone Wolf
HLC
Recon Specialist
Outrider title
Chewie
Predator
C3PO
MF Title

I have flown something very simular, except Predator on Leebo instead of LW and skipping the MF title on Chewie instead. I feel that taking focus with Chewie gives him a great chance to get 3 hits with Predator, plus you might be able to convert it on defense anyway. I tried Lone Wolf on Leebo but it really messed up my preferred flying patterns and half the time I didn´t get to use it. It does work amazingly with Recon Specialist if Leebo is the last ship to go down though.
