After playing around with Han and Dash Squads where i could not fit Outrider in, i thought to give our Level 5 crit-denying Homies a chance... The Idea is to throw the Wookie at them while Robo tosses in broadsides from outside the playground! I was not happy with some of the choices but maybe you can make the YT-3700 a bit more efficient for me...

I went for a more annoying Chewie in my list.

Chewbacca + Determination + C-3P0 + R2-D2 + Falcon + HU (54 points)

Leebo + Determination + Ion Cannon + Recon Specialist + Outrider (46 points)

What about a slight reshuffle and a few tweeks:

Chewbacca + Draw their fire + C-3PO + R2-D2 + MF Title 51

Leebo + Determination + Outrider + HLC + Han Solo 49

Chewy can draw away any crits Leebo cant deal with and regen shields to make up for it.

I might have to try this out myself!!

DTF moves crit results, so you'd have to activate it before Leebo's ability.

On the other hand, if I play Rebels in the Slave-1 mission and can give Leebo a second EPT, he's getting Determination and DTF, and R2-D2 riding shotgun...

If he's dealt a pilot crit, he discards it completely instead of flipping it facedown.

I never throught of that. When ever I suffer a damage and a crit i just take 2 damage cards from the deck but with Determination I can look at the crit discard it if its a pilot crit and laugh in my opponets face. How did I miss that trick?

I would have switched it to Adrenaline Rush or Draw Their Fire, but I like this 1 point hull upgrade for him now.

Still it's a variation of the same 2 Pilots, just that mine is tankier and less agressive. So i instinctively picked the right name apparently! If you insist on your patent though i might rechtisten it "Falconriders" XD

I like Lone Wolf on chewie much better than DTF because i dont want to respect any formation here. I want the enemy to decide whom to go after first and offer Chewie as first target! Lone Wolf helps to guess C3PO right too, because that way i can perhaps get 2 evades out of him.

Lando EI combo is nice, but idk if outrider is not better to avoid shots instead if getting evades and focus. Not sure about it though!

I really like that build! I flew the following recently with great success:

Chewbacca (Predator, C-3PO, Recon Spec, Millenium Falcon)

Leebo (Determination, HLC, Lando, Experimental Interface)

But the MF title is almost a waste of points since I used Recon Spec every turn. I was able to defeat both a 7-TIE swarm list (Howlrunner+Stealth Dev, Dark Curse, Night Beast, Academyx4) and a Decimator + Defender list (Kenkirk: Determination, Ysanne, Rebel Captive, Moff + Rexler: VI, HLC).

I really like the Chewie build, but losing Outrider on Leebo hurts a lot! If i have to fly a pilot with only HLC and no Outrider it will probably be Dash as his positioning is superior!

Whereas I prefer having Outrider on Dash Only, as the higher mobility reduces the inferior range.

My Leebo build doesn't suffer from Doughnutopia, and so can still shoot at anyone who outflanks him, even if he doesn't get to shoot with as many dice.

Basically, I'm sacrificing 2 dice at slightly-more-than 3/4 of the arc of the Donut to gain a Range 1 attack of 3 dice, and 5 points.

This is what I came up with, and I'm crazy excited for it.

The strategy is to keep Chewie in between Leebo and the opponent, forcing them to either shoot Chewie with 2-3 evades (Jan Ors could throw him another on top of C3PO and the natural), or you could attack Leebo through Chewie and deal with Chewie's tactical jammer.

Chewie also helps keep people out of Leebo's donut, and they have so many ways to skirt damage with Chewie's ability and Leebo's + Determination.

But in this case it just fits perfectly because if you send Chewie towards them guns blazing, as long as he does not go down, you can fly perpendicular to the battle, not closing with the enemy too much and flying around the main asteroid cluster. The boon of this build is that they will have to chew Through Chewie (oh my what an expression...!) first and that means a lot of work as literally they can't rely on crits to do anything for them, except R2-D2 mishaps...

I just regret not having a boost for leebo, as i would gladly take it if someone came for him. Sadly he can't take himself as crew XD!

With Dash however, which i play together with a Han on a diet (can't be too fat XD) i am not taking outrider, but Leebo, HLC and an EP slot. Dashs pilot ability permits him not only to not let anyone get into his donut, but inversely to get people into his arc whenever you dont take Outrider! Or you can easily dodge an arc or 2 with barrel roll or Leebo boost and get a range 1 turret shot. His movement is not only superior to keep him at range, but also to set him up for HLC shots.

In that build i count on Han's presence to defend Dash because they could go for Dash first, but we all know what an intact lategame Han will do afterwards...

I'm liking Leebo with Determination - will definitely be trying that on my YT2400's maiden skirmish.

I would add Experimental Interface to lando if anything!

But it's a free barrel roll action, so you can still use Lando's ability, right? Barrel and then some focus/evades?

Well it has the Action header... So no you can't because it uses up your one action per turn. It's either Lando or Expert handling!
