Request for Quest ideas

After the discussion about "Heirs of Blood" only relying on base game components, I've decided to try writing a full-length campaign that assumes all expansions released to date. However, putting together a campaign is a big task, and I'm hoping I can get a little input from the community members here on what you'd like to see. I'm aiming for the campaign to contain 16 quests eventually (1 Introduction, 6 Act I, 1 Interlude, 6 Act II, and 2 Finale), so far I have at least basic outlines for 11, most of them with map designs:

Introduction (1 Encounter):

The heroes must retrieve a map from a room at the Inn which leads to an entrance to mysterious tunnels under the Town Square.

Act 1 1A (2 Encounters):

Your investigation leads you to a farm on the outskirts of town. You find the occupants slain. In Encounter 2, you return to town to search the town records for more information, and find them being destroyed.

Act 1 2A (2 Encounters):

The Overlord's minions are trying to enter a cave to retrieve the Staff of Shadows- you must stop them. Encounter 2 is fought either outside or within the cave, depending on who wins encounter 1.

Act 1 2B (2 Encounters)

There is a cave deep in the woods, a nest of plague worms. They are guarding something of great value. Can you escape with it before the entrance collapses?

Act 1 3A (1 Encounter):

Bol'goreth is has abducted villagers, and is disposing of them. If he manages to kill them, you'll never learn what he was up to.

Act 1 3B (1 Encounter)

The site of an ancient battle is riddled with magical artifacts. If you can gather enough pieces, you might be able to harness their power. The Overlord has come to the same conclusion.

Interlude (2 Encounters)

You find another entrance to the tunnel system, and discover the Overlord's plot- and more trouble than you bargained for.

Act 2 1A (2 Encounters)

You must find a weapon rumored to be resting in a ruined fortress that fell into a swamp years ago.

Act 2 3A (1 Encounter)

Below the library in town, a dark ritual is occurring. You must put a stop to it before it is completed.

Act 2 3B (1 Encounter)

The Wyrm Queen has burned an entire village to the ground. The citizens must be avenged before she escapes.

Finale(1 Encounter)

Showdown in the Black Realm. Close the portals connecting this dimension to Terrinoth!

Obviously, this is just an overview. I haven't "published" any of these quests yet, but I'd be interested in discussing map mechanics with those that want to.

I'm also trying to get a story together for this campaign. As a working story, I've thought about the heroes being hired by the Latari Elves/ Daqan Lords to find Timmoran Shards before the Overlord (who has enlisted the help of the Uthuk.) In short, it would be a Descent style adventure about the details that are missed when the civilizations of "Runewars" send heroes questing for dragon runes. This will result in lots of demonic type creatures (hooray for the Uthuk,) and more than a few zombies/ barghests (and maybe Dark Priests.) I'm not thinking of including strictly CK monsters.

If that story sticks, I'd be planning to have a running collection of Timmoran Shards collected by each side during the course of the campaign- they might be worth a small amount of money (25,) they wouldn't need any special token, and would somehow affect the Finale. In addition to being victory rewards, these shards could be found during normal search actions (I was thinking something like each time a hero searches, he rolls an attribute test with a value of 2. If he passes, the heroes found a shard in addition to whatever other treasure.) The OL could steal shards by knocking down heroes (like threat tokens) and by winning quests.

One of my favorite ideas so far is to have "Allies" for the OL. Just like our heroes have been recruited by the Latari/Daqan, it's conceivable that other heroes would be recruited by the other factions. Therefore, the OL could have monsters that are actually just other heroes, but without their hero ability/heroic feat text (essentially, they would function like lieutenants.)

Wow. This sounds amazing. ETA?

The quest is going to have 1 intro, act 1 quests, 6 act 2 quests, 2 interludes, and 2 finales. I have all but 2 of those quests designed and written. All that's left is to playtest what I've got, and write flavor text. I'm planning to have it done (hopefully) early March.
