I recently picked up 2 YT-2400s and a Decimator and, while I haven't used the Decimator yet, I've noticed while playing with my 2400 that it doesn't fit very snugly on the peg like most of my other ships do. I tested both ships as well as tested it with multiple pegs, and every time, I was unable to pick it up by the model without it coming right off the peg. Has anyone else experienced this?
Anyone else having issues with their YT-2400?
I had the same problem with my yt2400 and my decimator, I just kept switching through pegs until one was good enough. If you really want to you cold super glue but i don't know if you want to do that.
A friend of mine has that exact problem. His YT 2400 refuse to sit properly on its mounting pin, it's like the mounting peg is too small and slightly conical as well.
I've had the very same issue with my Decimator. I have cycled through all my large pegs, but none seem to even fit snugly! What I find the most annoying is that, due to this, it lists ever so slightly. Not enough for my opponent to notice, but I every time I look at a it I can see it.
Was considering using bluetac, but if anyone has any better suggestions (I don't really want to glue the peg in), I'm all ears.
I have the exact same problem with my YT and Decimator. Either the pegs are too small or the hole is too big. I'm probably gonna use some paper filler to make it fit tightly though.
I threw my Decimator on the stand for the transport.. no issues at all. the post and base need to be used together though because the post won't fit on the regular base for the large ships. I am thinking of another fix in case of tourneys so I don't have to beg to use the transport base.. lol possibly some penny sleeve plastic to help snug it up.. we'll see what happens.
I had the the same problem with both my wave 5 ships. I was really disappointed with then. I've never had this problem with any of my other ships.
I was able to fix the problem. I just put a small amount of super glue inside the connector. I made sure the glue COMPLETELY dried before sticking the peg in. It made the hole a little tighter so the stand no longer falls off when I pick up the ship. :-)

Heh, I'm half-tempted to order some epic stands from FFG's parts site just for this. They seem to fit great.
There's always removable adhesive to insert into the hole in small amount. Or perhaps you can shove one of those clear silicon dots into the hole with the peg, which should help it grip.
For mine, I just found which pegs fit the Wave 5 best and set them aside.
Edit: Dabbing super glue in, shoving in the peg, then removing the peg and letting it dry might work as well. I'd worry about the frosting effect of super glue, though.
Edited by Rithrinwait.. Parts site.. they told me they don't sell the stands for those separately.. I emailed em.. you have a link for this.. I wanna get a few more for grins..
Tourney we had last Friday had two players with 2400's and i swear at least every other move they'd fall off the stands.
Exact same issue here. The Decimator is fine but the YT just falls off if you try to pick it up by the model.
will have to check this!!! as i just un boxed mine but haven't played with them yet.. another thing one can try is to simply snug a small piece of tissue paper/tape around the stand to snug it up once you insert it. basically making the pin part slightly fatter.
Edited by SwedgeHas anyone looked into stronger magnets?
Also had an issue.
Mine seems to keep winning, maybe it's defective.
No problems with mine.
I've only opened one of my Decimators but it is a bit wobbly on the peg.
Both my Decimator and YT-2400 have this problem. I borrow some of those sticky dots from my wife's crafts. The work pretty well. I have to go to craft store and get some more.
My YT-2400 will not fit on the peg either. Not because it's too loose but because it's too tight! It won't fully fit on the peg so it just barely sits on it during gameplay. Any slight touch can knock it off. I contacted FFG and they said that the ship still functions as intended. I guess they never intended it to be used during an actual game. Oh well. They did suggest using low tack glue. May look into that.
Also another issue I am having, is with the cardboard cutouts that go on the ship base. Both of the YT-2400 cutouts and one of the Decimator cutouts are slightly too big. They barely fit on the base and when they do they bend the actual base slightly.
Edited by Jfitz1431The only problem I'm having with my Wave V ships is that they haven't arrived yet! It'll be good to know to look out for this when they do get here though...
I've had the same issues with both of mine. I think a little superglue in the connector seems like the best option.

We sell them at Staples too, on the Fastener aisle.
Appropriately enough, it's across from the Staples ![]()
I've had the same problem, just ram it in there.
Welp, I'm worried
Previously my problem with the ship was everyone being too busy with finals for me to get a chance to fly it.
I've only opened my 1st one so far and it seems fine. I'll check the others tonight!
