SW EotE RPG Newbie in Ashburn/Fairfax

By theclash24, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I was wanting to get into this game-- I'm currently in Ashburn near the Huzzah Hobbies. I'm into heavy RP groups with emphasis on stories of the characters, personally.

I can do SKYPE games as well-- I did it for awhile with Dark Heresy with people from Cali and Canada and it was a blast!

I run a game on Sundays in Springfield, VA at Curio Cavern.

I've been running an 'Edge of the Empire' campaign in Reston since August.

My group and I shop at Huzzah's frequently.

We may have an opening for another player if you are interested.

My name is Jay. Contact me on here if you are still looking for a group.

Oh man I guess I didn't see this post...email wasn't setup to receive forwarded posts from FF forums. Looks like your post is from the 23rd so not to long ago-- I'm interested in learning a bit because I'm going to ST my own game and would love to get the handle of things in this game.

I run my game from my house in Stafford, VA, which is about an hour away from you guys. I have players that come from Manassas and one from Fairfax, and another that drives up from Fredricksburg. I have never been to Huzzah's, but I have been to the Game Parlor in Chantilly before. I met my current players through Meetup.com. If anyone is interested in joining my game, let me know, or if you are looking for another player, I am willing to make the drive as well.

Must be a good game to drive that far XD

Well, we have been gaming now for about six months, about every other week. The player from Manassas tells me it is the best game he has ever been in, and he has been in a lot of different games and GM/DMs. So that makes me feel pretty good.

We also game from from about noon till 2200, so we make a big day of it, and I also provide dinner for everyone. I was driveing up to Chantilly when I first moved here to game, but most everyone agreed to drive to my place. I do have a really good SW collection on display in my geek/gaming room also.

As I have gotten older, and people started moving around, I have found that an hour to drive is not that far away for a good game. If you get a game going, and are looking for players, let me know.

Oh don't get me wrong I wasn't trying to insult! Was definitely intrigued especially if you got the "if you build it they will come" thing going on! 2 times a month is doable.

I didn't take it as an insult. But to some people a drive of 15 minutes is too much for them, let alone an hour+ in north VA traffic.

I strive to make it an inviting and comfortable atmosphere to game in. I have the SW music going, I have the Obsidian Portal page pulled and ready to use, and me and some of the guys have a few drinks. Here is a link to some pics on my new area if you are interested. I am ultra-super lazy, and my Geekarium is still not done yet. But it is further along than what these pictures show. If you are interested in coming out let me know. Also check our Portal page in my signature link if you want.

Wow I don't think I'm THAT into SW lol... You win! My girl would kill me if I had that much geekness lol!

I'm lucky that my wife buys most it for me!
