Looking for a provocative image of a Rogue Trader

By Chrysalis2, in Black Crusade

So my characters have a run in with a slaaneshi Rogue Trader captain.

I'm looking for an image of a provocative, rogue trader with a hint of danger to her.

The chaos-iness should be at a minimum. Does someone have such an image hidden away somewhere?

Untill i can find a better pic thats actually from 40k:

First thing that came to mind:

Not sure if Slaaneshi enough, though.

Where is that from? Looks like I've missed some not-so-bad WH40k movie!

That looks pretty normal, as far as 40k is concerned. :D

On the other hand, personally I have a feeling Alex Cube's image is a bit too far into the other extreme - but I'd say he definitely has something with this suggestion about a mask...! It could represent the Trader in question being so obsessed with the image of perfection that they don't even dare to show their actual face anymore, instead hiding it behind a masterfully crafted mask. To the extent that they'd scream in terror if it is somehow removed from their person, even though they have a perfectly ordinary face (here you could toy with the players' expectations a bit!).

Somewhat similar to how Tech-Priests grow to dislike their flesh as weak and then set out to replace it, except a bit more extreme, and more about hiding rather than replacing (because even cybernetics don't look as beautiful as a good mask and fashionable dresses).

Basically, accentuate the flamboyance to a level where people would consider it "odd" but not yet "lolchaos".

(note: I may have played a little too much Dragon Age III the past two days)

Alternatively, using a very dark veil - so that at best only the rough shape of the head might be guessed - might do the trick as well.

More "classic" approaches would be to just sex up the character - but I fear this would appear either too normal or too obviously cult'ish (I even have an example but it's very much NSFW :P ) rather than what you are aiming for. Although you could mix and match by using an image like Fgdsfg's and add hints of slaaneshi stuff to the entourage and interiors. Or you focus on describing the character's body language - this would be the best way to convey the idea in a movie, but being limited to audio-narration this might be very challenging indeed.

Would you believe its from Ressha Sentai ToQger ? Basically the new (japanese) power rangers series. The rangers are all about trains, rainbows and Imaginaaaatiooon!, while the villains have these cool steampunk outfits and their own internal shemes and power struggle. There's even a wedding episode that goes about aswell as the infamous "red wedding" from game of thrones. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFFMLnGLNrQ

Actually were it not for the video I wouldn't, still in a bit of shock and disappointment here, the only question I was asking myself before was if it was a slaaneshi or tzeenchian cultist, nevertheless still gonna use it in my games so thanks for it anyways

Right, sorry about that! I just scrolled back up as I went looking for a name and must've missed the original post.

Anyways, whilst I still like the idea of masks, I'd say Chaplain and Ralzar posted an excellent option. It's pretty much relying on the body language bit I mentioned earlier, but with an image like this it should be a lot easier to convey a proper (or rather improper) image!

Technically, I also like the ones Alex (this time I mean it!) posted, but "just" as normal RTs or perhaps members of the entourage, as they look "too ordinary", imho .. at least by the standards of 40k.

The fourth son in a decrepit Malfian Rogue Trader family, Ana became angry with the constrictions of being always being in the submissive position in family politics. Ana ran away at the cusp of loss of innocense. Joining the Menagerie, the want to take control of the future became unquenchable. The Ana that returned was different, more dangerous, more experienced and more life yearning. Her brothers were fascinated by this newly returned creature of desire. In the the heat of the night Ans slid the poisoned blade into the first born. In control now of the joys, Ana dictated the first born's will with poisoned kisses as he reached an inevitable blood burning gasping climax.

Now Ana as the captain of the ancient family ship, brings delectable joys, tainted experiences and forbidden fruit to the nobility of the Calixis sector - all gifts to Slaneesh.

I think this one works perfectly, looks almost normal with a sense of arrogance and power befitting a Rogue Trader but the pose and costume suggest a touch of vulgarity which could hint at the taint of Slaanesh without being obviously Chaosy.
