Let me ask few questions about mechanics:

1. If there are 2 players vs 2 monsters, now does the fight looks like? Each player attacks each monster? Who attacks first? Is horros fist for both, or player one does everyhting then second? etc

2. Can players exchange their weapons, allies, skills, clues?

3. Can items be sold?

1) The first player fights or evades each monster, making horror, combat and evade checks as appropriate. The second player then fights or evades each remaining monster, if any remain. There's no combined fighting, though the players can trade items before and after combat. (After relies, of course, on the fighting investigator not just having been sent to the Asylum or Hospital)

2) Common items, unique items, spells, the deputy's items (though not the deputy card itself) can be traded. Skills, allies, clues, special cards such as retainers and curses, and trophies cannot be traded except in very rare and specific circumstances (a card will tell you specifically)

3) Generally not, though there are a few encounters that will let you either sell items.
