Well not totally because I think that timescape should be publish again and hopefully with a very tone down science fiction theme, has I've point out before, it could rely more on the "time" aspect and much less on the "science fiction" theme. the "time" could be from medievial times going backward to the stone age.

Well, for the minute I have posted what I have called the Timescape Upgrade to the Expansions page of Talisman Island.

A Polish user Arkon remade the expansion for the clone game Magiczny Miecz (Magical Sword) and I thought the board was so nice I asked if I might translate it for use by English speakers.

As Timescape only has one card that is used in other decks, I figured that people who have the expansion would be able to use their 2nd Edition Timescape with a small addition. I've added a Revised 4th Edition style Warp Gate Spell and a Medi-Kit Timescape Purchase card. Using Arkon's templates I translated the board and Data Sheet and packaged it up.

Whilst I am not particularly a fan of the expansion, I think it is a reasonable addition, though I would prefer technology in Talisman to be limited to Steam Power or Clockwork.

The Timescape is like Marmite ... you either love it or hate it!

Wow, great board, I know that a lot of people were unhappy with that expansion but I still think it's better to have the chance to buy or skip it than no choice at all because it was never produce for 4 er.

A lot of ressentment come from the fact that it goes way beyond "steam power and clockwork" as you mention, but it also probably appeal to certain players who didn't have "twilight emporium" "starcraft" or "ad astra" for their science fiction fix back then.

Anyway, thanks to you for hosting so many fan-made expansion for us the talisman community

yes, i mean the Dragon expansion for 2th edition, that has been made for Third edition on talisman island.

Andrea Valla has convert the 2th edition cards to Third edition cards

It's somewhere on the bottom of the page at Talisman Island

I would rather just have more dragons incorporated into the Adventure card deck rather than a full expansion centered around dragons. Too cliche'. I like a lot of the other ideas for expansions instead of the a dragon-themed one. Although I wouldn't mind seeing it regardless. Any expansion is another expansion.

There is still at least 3 more corner realm that will be coming to Talisman, there is also a very good chance to see some old commercial expansion, that were done by Game Workshop at the time, being upgrade for 4er by FFG and dragon is one of them as it was an expansion for both 2nd and 3rd edition.

What most of us, Talisman fan, hope for is for FFG to redo all 2nd and 3rd edition expansion and even some new ones like the reaper, this way if you don't like an expansion theme you can choose another one more to your liking

It is funny that there is almost a similar card in the treasure deck that looks the same as the Rod of Dragon Fire.

Only the text has been changed

But if FFG would only make 20 dragons, then it is norhing compare to a 206 adventure deck !

I think we need a balance so that there are not too much but also not to less dragons in the deck !!

If the Dragon expansion will be added to the deck, then we are around 300 adventure cards

20 assorted dragons would be welcome , going beyond 300 adventure cards is something that I hope should happen very soon (before the end of summer) , a huge dragon mini on top of the multilevel evil tower .

As a new ending, we could get to fight the black ogre's mother-in-law , "she cannot be discarded at the castle, nor by crossing the river, the hags, poltergeist and the taxman are so afraid that they will not become your follower, she confront the lord of darkness for you and win, you can only ditched her in the cemetary "

To add something to this discusion..

If you are looking only for some dragons, then you can also choose for not using the dragon objects and take only 5 to 10 dragons out of the dragon deck !

You can also choose for playing story 1 or 2 . I choose for the dragon story( story 2) instead of the crown ending..because i like the Dragon Tower and the dragon objects etc

Well i don't expect 300 adventure cards for the main board before the end of summer..

But you never know..... ( reaper adds 90) so if the same would be added to the deck, then we have 296 cards( including the 2 promo cards too.,.)

I made a mistake on the 1ste page about how many cards the dragon expansion has..

I said 80, but there are 87 dragon cards in the 2th edition ! lol

That's almost as much as the reaper expansion !!

To add something to this topic,

Some cards and ideas that i like in the Dragon expansion are:

Objects: Dragon eggs and Dragon Tears that you can sell for Gold:D

Events: Dragon Raid, Altar of the Dread, Black Temple, Sacrificial Stone and the ( Dragon Cult enemies)

Magic objects: Dragon Helm,Psionic Wand,Dragon Blood,Magic Harness, Bracelet of might, Excorcist Blade,Crown of Domination, Magic Ring, Dragon Skul Wand, Horn of Horror

The other cards are good too, but this are the number 1 cards for me..

Hi Velhart,

I am wishing for a dragon tower, a dragon realm (game corner) would be great too

here's my wish for the 4 cormer realm:

1. Dongeon (done)

2. Dragons (high level spirits and enemy, no one is trully safe)

3. City (lot's of magical and regular object for sales and include a sewer which might lead to Timescape)

4. Wilderness (mountain and forest realm, might leads to an ocean pirates expansion

That should cover it for me.

My wish is a little different then, because i want all the 4 regions(same idea as third) for the 4th edition.

i am really hoping to see the combination (Dragon Tower+Dragon expansion for the mainboard, so that the second story of talisman is finally complete.

1: Dungeon (done)

2 City( not sure about the magic objects what you said) but i want more different purchase cards, and maybe a harbor would be nice, with a pirate ship..( i am also hoping for a sewer that contain a little bit of adventure)

3 Mountains: same as third but with including bridges to cross when you go to the peak of the mountains, ( they could add a cave that leads to a ocean( if possible ! ) if not... (then at least a remake of the third edition mountains) ( they may add some dragons too there !

4 Forest ( including wildernis cards)

PS: the mainboard may also contain wildernis cards from me..

( a small expansion with raiders(and for the desert) would be very nice) + including the sphynx) and more...

I saw that the last artwork from the Highlands ( Mountain Dragon) has the same title as a dragon from the Dragon expansion !

So...actually it's a retro card??

This Mountain dragon from 2th has strength 8 and can breath fire on you..

I was just wondering about this: how many of each special type dragon can exist in this world ... ( regarding dragon army)

It's funny that the Mountain Dragon from the Highlands (if we look to the name) actually belongs to the Dragon Kings army

I wonder if it will be included in a Dragon expansion, if FFG will maybe make it in the future..

Maybe that it will be different dragon with the same name....mmm

What do the fans think if the same Mountain Dragon from the Highlands will be added to the Dragon expansion?

In the Dragon expansion for 2th, there are all different kind of dragons . That makes them special.

The Dragon King has 3 childs(sons) but each looks different and they are no twins

Are the fans loving this, if more special dragons are added to some regions, so that we have some duplicates?

I would choose for some rare dragons in a Dragon expansion, but i was just smiling when i saw the Mountain Dragon's name from the Highlands....
