Rate these decimator builds

Came up with some more decimator builds.

Something a little different.

Hoping to try some of these out tonight.

Let me know what's yas think.

I may take off the upgrades on the patrol Leader and put recon specialist on the Sigma

i don't like them that much. =/

Fragile and can be focused down.

List 2 is my fav. Very minimalistic build on the Deci. But very functional. (Though, I'd love a Gunner of course, but you cant have everything...)

I'm just trying to find some other builds that break away from flying it with a mini swarm

I have many more different builds, but thought these were interesting and looked like fun.

Competitive? I doubt it, but if flown properly I figure could be tough.

For example the shadow Squadron.

Keep him behind the decimator and come out at the right time.

As I had some more games last night the decimator is extremely tanky and can take a pounding and keep coming back for more.

The ion shuttle build definitely has low dmg output, but would really lock down your opponents ships.

But I have to disagree, to say it can be focus fired down fast.

Last night for example, I say about 125-150 pts of ships shooting at it and surprisingly it still lived. Badly hurting, but was still doing its job.(had a big 2vs1game last night, 200 pts)

So I have to ask in what way can these lists get Focus fires down fast?

Most builds I see are a decimator, with3-4 ties, or a shuttle and a tie, or just one other ship. So what's the difference there?

I mean what's the difference between these builds and other decimator builds? Seeing as they all have roughly the same amount of ships in them

Again I'll use the shadow Squadron for an example.

Yes it's sort of squishy, but if flown properly it can be tricky ro kill. Just don't fly it in the thick of things.

But if your opponent is chasing the phantom and ignoring the decimator then he is going to have a really hard time trying to kill it when he is no longer at full strength, and If he goes after the decimator, then that gives your phantom some shooting time, and that can't be ignored.

Anyway, It not something I'd say is the cats meow, but just thought looked interesting, and possibly have potential, and probably room for tweaking

Ya, I think the second on the list is probably the best. 31 hp is a lot of hp

After last night I really like oicunn. He is a great jouster.

I thought he was dead. First round of focus fire he was hurt, but then he got into range 1 and rebel captive, and Mara jade nothing could fly past him, kturn, and things were running into him.

Actually he managed to be touching 2 ships after he moved because he didn't go anywhere, so he did a dmg to both ships, and Mara jade kept him alive, and also kept dash from getting away so easy to stay in his blind spot.

I took a liking to oicunn last night and have came up with some other builds that I think look really good.

Oicunn is a ship I would not joust with or want to get close to with Mara jade on it

Fly tank kinkurk with 2 x1's if you want to break away from the normal meta.

If they were any decent of a ship I would try that. Maybe someday after they release some fixes for it

Idea here is simple.

Keep escorts in front of decimator.

Fly toward enemy

Once the decimator gets in range 1 his ships won't go too far.

Allowing the escorts to drop prox mines or kturn.

Anything the decimator hits takes dmg, and anything runs into it roll for dmg.

31 hp, though not a lot of fire power, still tanky as hell
