All, I understand the appeal of triple action dash's efficiency. In preparing for upcoming battles with him I was wondering what people think about an alternative build that gives him at least comparable maneuverability at a higher PS. Instead of PTL, VI. Instead of Kyle, Navigator.

Seems like this still provides the ability to stay always at R 2-3 but lets you do it at PS 9 and makes your moves less predictable. The downside is losing the focus/TL.

I thoroughly look forward to Navigating with that dial.
I mean, daem.

Interesting take. I'll have to try this out tomorrow.

This made me chuckle!! well played sir!

And yes that dial is sick. I think it has every speed maneuver on it except a 5 straight.

I've tried it. It is indeed pretty awesome. :) However, if you're relying on a lot of barrel rolls for positioning then you WILL feel the sting of not having any offensive/defensive actions.

It's a turret ship. Barrel roll is a defensive action.

Tried this yesterday against a fatish Han build. The navigator/VI works well but it definitely lacks the offensive punch you need to get through Han's armor.
