I don't know why I never noticed it before, since everything's been spoiled for a while now, but I was surprised last night when I (finally) got my Wave 5 ships to see that the Lone Wolf and, especially, Experimental Interface upgrade cards are dotted, so unique. I can understand about Lone Wolf, because of its name and since it could get very powerful on two Phantoms for example, but Experimental Interface?

****, i never noticed that about EI either. how annoying.
but Experimental Interface?
Maybe because it is experimental for a reason? ![]()
I have been doing the large ships blocking thing forever, because they would/should/do block line of sight.

Really? I'm not surprised about Lone Wolf, but EI?
Ya same here. Never noticed, but makes sense.
I guess because it's Experimental and so there's only one?
Huh, that's weird.
I'm surprised you are surprised by it. It was the first thing I noticed when the card was leaked.
"Yes, a way to get generics a pseudo Push the Limi.... wait. It's unique"

It's clearly designed to be put on a large ship so it can do something like this:
YT1300 with Experimental Interface, Falcon title and Lando:
As an action perform the Evade action granted by Falcon, then pick another action being Lando's two get to roll two die and get some focus or evade tokens, then get a stress. That's an immensely powerful defensive combo, especially if your other crew slot is Numb so your straight maneuvers are green and you can easily shed the stress next turn.

Or it could be to make Expose viable

Both are unique.
Experimental Interface is a prototype.
You cannot have a pack of lone wolves.
Good catch

Well, I don't know, you could always "experiment" on a few ships to really test its potential.
Since the Lone Wolf card requires to stay beyond range 2, it's not really a pack. It's two loners...
Edited by admatTo be honest, I would be fine with a lot more cards being unique AND with a ship being limited to a max of 1 unique card of any kind. Would help fix super-stacked ships by spreading strong upgrades around a bit.
If Lone Wolf weren't unique we'd see a lot of random flying Black Squads with Lone Wolf. ^__^
Not that it is bad, but I do think it is kinda neat to have more unique EPTs and Mods.

True. It could create some very strong ship combos. It was most probably playtested enough to warrant the uniqueness. Like the title of my post indicates, I was just surprised (and couldn't believe I didn't notice it before!).

Is it bad I hear this in Kurt Loder's voice saying, "You can't pluralize 'Lone Wolf'"?
I love both cards, and the combo of this, even if both are unique, maybe is too powerful, but it worth it, greettings.
although as i mentioned in an earlier post Ysanne had a clone of herself so you should be able to run TWO of her..lol
