Has anyone thought about a fourth faction?

By Eggs, in X-Wing

I'm not saying I'm for one, or against one, but im wondering if anyone had any ideas for a fourth? Hutts? The vong? Just putting it out there.

You trouble maker you...

no.

There's just no pleasing some people.

We are likely to see more Hutts in SCUM anyhow. We already have one of their Interceptors...

:)

The idea is that S&v is going to encompass everything that doesn't fit into rebels vs empire. The designers said so in one of their interviews.

Yeah they did, and more than once...

This game definatly needs an Ewok faction with spaceships made of logs...

Fat Wicket?

Fat Wicket needs a new job FFG

Th Chiss Empire.

Th Chiss Empire.

But i think we have enough factions honestly!

Just... Please PLEASE not the Vong!!!

Th Chiss Empire.

The Chiss fit into S&V really.

Th Chiss Empire.

That would be the only thing making some sense....

The Vong also would fit into S&V, but they don't fit into X-wing because of the time-frame.

Hutt ships are already in S&V. This game is set in the rebellion era so Vong wouldn't work

I was happy with two factions to be honest, but now that my preorder is in, I'm getting a bit over excited about s&v!

Why?!?

I think three should be the max! All can fight each other and it becomes the ultimate rock, paper, scissors situation! No need for a fourth faction, inmho!

I think there could be like Faction Cards. Like a Black Sun Card, Hutt Clan Card, Pyke Syndicate Card or things like that... You play as S&V but you have a card that affects in some way all your ships, like a special ability that gives and takes something

Sure nobody -needs- a fourth faction but that dosnt stop people (with money) -wanting- one

As i said, i don't need any other faction really, but if it really had to be, then Thrawn and the Chiss would make sense since it takes place in a timeframe where the New Republic does not even have E-Wings (or is just introducing them) and Imperial Remnant uses Defenders...

The Vong are to me the most boring and onedimensional Race in EU err beg you pardon... Legends. At least until they finally do make peace with them. Even then i think they were invented just because the Authors needed new Villains desperately, and that is what makes them so unappealing to me!

Corporate Sector Authority

A few speculated Smugglers and Spies, but there isn't really a design space for a ship faction. S&V is the catch-all for everything not Imperial or Rebel.

Sorry, but I greatly dislike this idea.

At some point in the grim darkness of the far future I would be interested in new factions. Vulture Droid Swarm anyone?

I would like a Dr. Who faction.

HA! Yes I posted awhile back like 4-5 other factions =] ZC FOR THE WIN!

No. I think having a fourth faction would over-complicate things. Besides, most major ships in movies and EU could be covered by one of the three existing factions, so there isn't really a need for a fourth.
