With the release of wave V now, is it more feasible to use Lando over 3PO for fat Han? what do you guys think?

It's a risk thing. I see C3PO and the Falcon title being the default competition choice still.

I think Lando is more fun though! I have him on Chewie flying alongside Dash. Hope to fly it Saturday.

C-3PO can be nullified by a well placed TIE with intimidation, or outmaneuver. Lando not so much. You could have both though.

my (completely unbiased ) advice:

1.) Go for guarantees, they keep the game strategic and from descending into a dice-fest (Esp with turreted ships that always have a shot)

2.) you don't want to blame dice when you win or lose (at least, any more than we currently do )

3.) don't trust green dice (ever)

Lando is countered by anything that denies your action, like bumping or stress. In just about any scenario that a TIE with Intimidation would have stopped C-3PO from working, it would have also stopped Lando.

Carnor Jax also keeps you from being able to spend the tokens that come from Lando, Wes can strip them, and Palob will be able to steal them.

C-3PO will be more consistent than Lando and is immune to action denial.

I agree with the above. One of the strengths of C-3PO (and R2-D2) is that he is not activated with an action. This allows for boost actions to get out of arc, evade if not able to get out of arc, or focus if already out of arc and more offence is needed. Lando has the possibility of giving a number of tokens, but cuts down on your options.

An important thing to remember is that Lando basically just lets you roll 2 extra Defense dice as an action, since you still have to actually roll an evade to get that bonus, it is really no different than just being at range 3 and obscured for a shot, but it costs an action

How about lando AND 3PO?!

I love Lando, I think he could give to han more live, and I use with R2, I think this combo gives to the MF more stamina, and more chances of win, greettings.

While I love Lando and use him frequently it's the true gambler's card. I've thrown more double blanks then I care to remember but then again I tend to use Calrissian in concert with EI.

I'd still go 3PO and maybe try Dash out on Hefty Hanzo.
