Silvan (and Noldor) decks - Best heroes combinations

By wehehe, in Strategy and deck-building

I really like the Silvan enter play - leave play mechanic, and, in my opinion, being a solo player, the best way to play with them is using two decks and play "2 headed", because you need some elements of each sphere to really use all it's potential.

My question is... what is in your oppinion, the best heroes combination to maximize synergies amongst Silvan cards? (Trying to fit as possible to the theme, using only Silvan or Noldor heroes)

I've seen some builds focusing on "powerful" heroes, such as Lore Glorfindel, Elrond, and Elladan-Elrohir, but, in my Point of view, the best way to improve the Silvans is with low-threat decks and Haldir, Hands upon the bow, Quick strike, feint, feigned voices... to kill enemies without having to defend.

With this in mind, my first deck has as heroes: Galadriel, Celeborn and Glorfindel (spirit), with an starting threat of 25, and the second one has: Haldir, Legolas and Mirlonde, with a threat of 24. The main weakness on this build are the siege quests, but on the other quests they are working quite well.

PD: I apologize for any error in my wording.

I agree, that combination of heroes works really well. The low threat means Haldir rarely has to engage and can use his ability often. Even the strongest enemies can be taken down in one turn if you have Haldir, Legolas, and Glorfindel attacking at the same time.

Yes. And Haldir, with 2 Bow of the Galadhrim equipped, and eventually a Black Arrow, is a beast who can kill by himself almost everything.

Also, as the weapons are in the same deck which has the lore heroes, master of the forge helps finding them soon.I don't know how it's working with other builds, I'd like to hear some suggestions. I also like the idea of putting together lorefindel and Elrond to get more healing power, but with them it will be a completely different approach due to it's high threat.

I use Celeborn/Glofindel/Elrond (29 threat) and Legolas/Haldir/Galadriel (27 threat). Elrond is a decent enough defender that the higher threat is mitigated and that deck's threat being higher than the other allows it to use Haldir's ability plenty often. Galadriel and threat reduction cards in EACH deck allow it to stay low. Also, having Lore in each deck gives both decks the ability to use Silvan Tracker, Galadhrim Minstrel, and The Tree People, which are some of the best Silvan cards. Of course this only works if you have enough copies of them, which is why I tend to play on OCTGN or with a friend.

If you are aiming for lower starting threat, you are probably going to be best off with the staring lineup you mentioned.

One of the things that I love about the Silvan faction is that it can be played solo or two-player. This makes it great for allowing all types of players to enjoy them. It is also a trait that can easily mix well with others (Imrahil, Eomer, Horn of Gondor, etc.) It also has a lot of options when you go solo.

Even with their specfic identity they are still powerful and versatile.

Haldir is amazing, probably my fav hero in the game at the moment. He is very good for solo, but he is crazily good for multiplater/two-handed, because even if there are enemies you would engage, other players engage as often as possible. Then Haldir can attack before enemy attacks. You can bring him to crazy attack stats of 8 or 9 (2 weapons + some dunedain signals).

Nice line-up: deck 1: Haldir, Mirlonde, random Merry; deck 2: Celeborn, Galadriel, Spirfindel

Well. it can be interesting to play with Lore in both decks to "abuse" The Tree people and minstrels... Maybe I'll have to print some proxies (I'm playing with real cards and no... I'm not going to buy a second copy of the AP just fore another playset of some cards.

I've tried a few months ago a Silvan solo deck with Legolas, Haldir and Celeborn, and in that moment it didn't work so well (it was just before The Nin-in-Elph was released, I think now it can be better). Anyways... for solo play I prefer other type of decks.

Scroll Lock, I think like you. Haldir is also one of my favourite heroes at the moment (I can't decide just one between Galadriel, Haldir and Eomer). And... yes I have a Merry in a sleeve and stored in the same deckbox with Legolas just to test how de deck works with him :D :D But I finally decided to use Legolas for theme reaons (and I must say that his ability helps a lot....).

Yea. Haldir and Galadriel are amazing. I haven't had much chance to use Eomer yet but I really want to. I still love Legolas and I'm glad Silvan gave me a great reason to use him again. Having both Haldir AND Legolas has made coming up with enough attack soo easy. I just love these Silvan decks! Now I just need to figure out how to get all these wonderful new cards from Celebrimbor's Secret into my decks.

I am doing Celeborn/Galadriel/Haldir. With Galadriel, Handmaiden, and Island amidst peril, your threat actually goes down instead of up. Celeborn/Galadriel combo provides insane action advantages. It's great for solo play too actually, because it really does manage to do everything relatively well.
