Obese CHIRANEAU

By Rogue Dakotan, in X-Wing

I've been excited to get in a game with my shiny new decimator.

In the meantime I've been putting together lists that seem fun (not necessarily competitive).

List 1

Chiraneu

Predator (3)

Proton Bombs (5)

Mercenary Copilot (2)

Mara Jade (3)

Tactician (2)

Hull Upgrade (3)

Academy Pilot x3

Figured Mercenary Copilot would be a good buddy for Chiraneu.

List 2

Rexler Brath

Proton Rockets (3)

Predator (3)

Stealth Device (3)

Commander Kenkirk

Determination (1)

Ysanne Isard (4)

Fleet Officer (3)

Tactical Jammer (1)

Commander Kenkirk

Determination (1)

Ysanne Isard (4)

Fleet Officer (3)

Tactical Jammer (1)

I would rethink Fleet Officer and Isard, especially without Experimental Interface Fleet officer gives you stress and then you can't use the free evade from Isard

Commander Kenkirk

Determination (1)

Ysanne Isard (4)

Fleet Officer (3)

Tactical Jammer (1)

I agree on this. Also Fleet officer feels kind of wasted if your only giving 1 ship a focus token. I don't think you can give Rexler both tokens

Commander Kenkirk

Determination (1)

Ysanne Isard (4)

Fleet Officer (3)

Tactical Jammer (1)

Unless you trigger Experimental Interface (and Fleet Officer) off of Isard's free action at the start of the combat phase.

Ok. The Kenkirk list needs a lot of work lol. Hadn't thought about that stuff. What about the other one?

The other one's not bad. Not super confident on Tactician, as he'll have a bit of trouble keeping things in arc at range 2.

Here's the build I'm considering for him:

Chiraneu

Expose

Dauntless

Rebel Captive

Merc Copilot

Jerjerrod

Experimental Interface

One Academy and two OSP TIE pilots

Basically keeping him as a slow creeping death machine, throwing four target-locked dice every round. If I take a crit, the mercenary scum can be the first one out the airlock.

I'm thinking a slightly slimmer Chiraneau.

Rear Admiral Chiraneau (46)

Predator (3)

Rebel Captive (3)

Mara Jade (3)

Tactical Jammer (1)

Howlrunner (18)

Swarm Tactics (2)

Academy Pilot (12)

Academy Pilot (12)

The TIEs fly behind the Decimator, using its bulk as cover, while all benefit from Howlrunner's reroll. If anything gets too close Mara Jade will stress it if it survives being shot at by, well everything. Should the formation need to slow down the TIEs can always bump the Decimator for a turn or two.

I assume fleet officer cannot give one of the tokens to the issuing ship itself? I.e. Chiraneu activating fleet officer to give himself and rexler focus?

I think Predator may be less useful on him. He's never going to Focus, so Predator is only going to help if he gets blocked. Same goes with Howlrunner, as her reroll will generally only help the two Academies. Maybe replace Predator with Determination and Dauntless?

You can give one to yourself, same as the jan ors crew ruling that you can give her evade to yourself.

That was my assumption as well that you can give it to one other, as well as save one for yourself

Commander Kenkirk

Determination (1)

Ysanne Isard (4)

Fleet Officer (3)

Tactical Jammer (1)

That's what I meant about wanting EI because you need to trigger the FO after Isard, but then you are double stressed and need it to clear 2 before you can use her the next turn, which means you would need a Wingman ship to help stress shed (Or Yorr) but then you don't have the points to fit Rexlar and a Decimator in a 100pt squad.

So basically I think if you are using Isard (as I think most Decimators should/will) Fleet Officers probably aren't the best pair for them, I see fleet officers being used more on Lamdas and maybe a Firespray here or there

I like this list, but how about usimg 2 Black squad ties with intimidation, and either hull upgrade or stealth. Move in and start bumping into people, then let the Decimator have shots on targetwith reduced agility.. and if you do it right the ties get shots on target as well.. just a thought

Also, maybe toss in Isard, instead of the captive and The Moff.. just ideas.. Isard is nice for defense.

... 2 Black squad ties with intimidation ...

I really like the Intimidation EPT but have been having a hard time figuring out where to put it. I think Black Squads might just be the ticket.

I certainly wouldn't want to see him ChiraNude.

I know, I know.
