What New EPTs Do Your Feverish Imaginations Desire?

I would like to see one called 'I have you now' that's useful for Vader and appropriate to the scene. Also there could be a paired one which counters it called 'Timely Intervention' based on Han saving the day.

How about:

I have you now

When attacking, if you are outside the target's arc, roll one additional attack die.

(so, backstabber's ability on a card)

Timely intervention

Once per round, an enemy ship inside your arc which is attacking another ship cannot gain bonus attack dice.

(Yes, it should stop R1 bonuses as well as the above and backstabber's ability, etc. It should not work if the enemy is attacking this ship)

Knowing the mighty Designers read these forums, I always try and scatter a few idea-laden threads here and there. For this one, let's discuss some new EPTs that we'd like to see come out in the....

The general rule is "if you ever want to see it printed don't post it anywhere". Sometimes submissions can include a legal boilerplate which relinquishes your rights to the idea, but still, a forum is not the place for that either.

Want to buff ordnance so:

Precision. 1 Point

When attacking with Torpedoes or Missiles the defender rolls 1 less agility die.

Eject Safely (2 points)

Rebel Only

When this ship is destroyed, remove one stress token from all friendly ships

4pts, when attacking a target inside your firing arc, if you deal at least 1 damage card to the defender you may choose 1 upgrade card on the defender and discard it. You may not perform any actions after the attack (not even free actions)

f**k your C3P0, f**k your R2D2, semi-f**k your ACD phantoms, f**k your Soontir's PTL, f**k your outrider's HLC turret. Cannot be used by ACD phantoms, cannot be used by falcons, bleedy expensive, so it's perfectly balanced.

As I recall from some of your previous posts your group is full of WAAC players who fancy themselves tourney contenders and have a hard time letting winning go to try off the wall things. Maybe you should find a new group? (please forgive me if this group analysis is incorrect and feel free to correct me if I am wrong...going off of old memory here...but your EPT idea is till bad)

Talk in abhorrent and annoying galactic - ghetto speak while clumsily knocking around all game components, including opposing players ship models. Opposing player is so disgusted, he concedes to avoid you. You win!

More of a crew card than an EPT - but I still like it - although I'd see it working more like a crew version of Biggs ...... even if it didn't everyone would still want to kill him first

The designers reading this board is exactly the reason why you shouldn't post card ideas. Like most game companies FFG likely has a policy that dictates anything posted in the public domain can never be used. This is to protect them from intellectual property lawsuits when some scrub from the internet claims FFG stole their idea and wants money or something else.

This maybe true, but by just changing it slightly, they can use it. And both Alex and Frank said they read these forums, so hopefully some of their idea come from here. I'm still convinced that Scum and Villainy is because of the people on this forum clamoring for it.

While its a good thematic idea this strikes me as too powerful as well. By TLing someone you are forcing what is, in essence, a perma stress on him as welll? I see no problem with having the TL cause a stress that can be shed through standard (though combined with FCS still makes this too good) means leaving it on him till you finally decide to shoot him seems like a bad idea...whats to stop me from TLing your phantom and preventing it from cloaking again...ever? Combine this with the FCS and the potential for abuse is beyond rife. Maybe have it just prevent them from utilizing focus tokens?

So I've played Empires at War: Forces of Corruption and to keep with the "flavor" of the Starviper in the game, I give you....

Buzz Droids - 4pts Modification. Starviper only. Action:(See same text as Proximity Mines.)

The token would be the same size and shape of the Proximity Mine token.

Effect: When this token "detonates", the ship that moved through or ovelapped this token suffers one damage, receives 1 stress token, and discards 1 upgrade card. Then discard this token.

Card name: There is no try

Cost: 3 pts

Text: You may discard this card at any time to change any one die that this ship is somehow involved with to any result. That die cannot be further modified.

FAQ: This can be used on an opponent's roll. This can be used on a reroll. The ship with this upgrade can modify it's own attack or defense dice, another ship's attack dice if targeting this ship, another ship's defense dice if being attacked by this ship, another ship's APL roll if it hit this ship and it has APL, obstacle damage rolls for this ship, repair rolls for this ship, etc.

Action: Target a ship at range 1 that performed a maneuver of speed 1 or less this turn and discard a single crew or team upgrade card from it. Then roll an attack dice, discarding Assault Team on critical result.

Requirements: Imperial Only, Crew slot

At the start of the Activation Phase choose 1 enemy ship within range 3 and 1 friendly ship within range 2 of that ship. Reveal the enemy ship maneuver dial. You may then choose to give the enemy ship a stress or adjust the selected friendly ship's dial.

Just a couple for now as i could come up with these things endlessly...
