Animals and beasties

How would one go about statting up animals or monsters from across the Star Wars universe? Has this been addressed in a book?

They are among the adversaries in the back of EotE, and each book has had more to work with.

Same way any NPC is statted up. Give them the Characteristics/Skills/Talents that seem to fit with them. NPCs don't follow the rules that PCs go through for creaion.

Is there a limit on Wound Thresholds and Strain Thresholds? I have been wanting to create more creatures from the movies and from the television shows. I have also thought about adding creatures from other Sci Fi Franchises like maybe the sand worms from Dune! Just wanted to know what (if any) limits there are. I know Characteristics max out at 6, but i don't think i have seen any creature yet go above a 40 Wound Threshold.

There is no defined limit, just use whatever makes sense to you. Can't recall which book it's in, but there is a Krayt Dragon spec, that's probably suitable for a sand worm of Dune. I think something like that might be a vehicle scale adversary though.

For what it's worth, the upcoming Stay on Target sourcebook for the AoR Ace career is slated to have some new creatures to go along with the Beast Rider specialization.

Anyone try statting up a Doashim (from Ryloth)? I looked at some older versions but couldn't seem to make it come out seeming like the same animal.

any luck with the Doashim ?

Looking for stats for them as they may show up in a futre senario i'm working on?

Would you prefer them as Minions or Rivals? I'm a big fan of reskinning; with only a few stats to work with, I don't see much value in spending a lot of time trying to differentiate one creature from another very similar creature.

To that end, if you want a Minion, I like the Snowfeather ( Nexus of Power, p.15) or maybe Spintiri Icewolves ( Force and Destiny Beginner Game p.23). If you'd rather have a Rival, I'd go with the Asharl Panther ( Nexus of Power, p.13).

Snowfeathers aren't too dangerous, but they're reasonably tough and scary-looking. Spintiri Icewolves don't have any special abilities, but they're a noticeable step up in combat ability. Asharl Panthers are pretty nasty.

Thanks for the tips SFC Snuffy

I'll probably use some as minions and a few rivals
