Colchite Servo Master comes from the Navis Primer.

It gives this benefit

MASTERMIND (TRAIT)

Prerequisites: Int 30, WP 30, Implanted Colchite Device

Implanted with a Stryxis psy-motivator at the base of his cerebellum, this character can control specifically fitted servitors as though they were extensions of his own body. When actively controlled, the servitors use the Explorer’s WS and BS and can perform more complicated actions that might otherwise be beyond their normal mental capabilities (a battle servitor could open a door or a drone could pick up a delicate object without breaking it, for instance).

The Explorer can control one servitor for each time this Talent is taken, but is limited to controlling one servitor for every 10 points of his Intelligence Characteristic (rounded up), up to a maximum of 5 servitors. For instance, a character with an Intelligence of 36 could only ever control 3 servitors at once, even if he takes this Talent a fourth time.

The range of control extends 20m x the character’s Willpower Bonus (so a character with WP 23 could control his servitors up to 40m away); if the servitor goes beyond the maximum control range or the psychic link is broken (such as by the presence of an Untouchable), the servitor reverts to its normal routines. Only servitors that have been fitted with Colchite implants attuned to the character can be thus controlled. While actively controlling one or more servitors, the character must concentrate intently and can only take a Half Action on each of his Turns. If the character stops concentrating or his concentration is broken, the servitors merely resume their normal routine and follow the last instructions given to them.

Looking at this now it may not be the best thing for a group of people with poor combat skills.

Especially if our tank is Untouchable.

Ladies (?) and Gentlemen, I'd like to introduce

Explorator Xinthiana Mu Ping

Xithiana, or Mu to those of sufficient familiarity, grew up on the Light of the Omnissiah , Magos Kwysitch's cruiser in the Explorator Fleet of Archmagos Davios as it explored the far reaches of the Halo Stars in search of truth, knowledge and ancient and lost tech from the golden age. She was not born (or grown) there, but she accepted that this is where she was meant to be, and never questioned her origins. At early age she showed a compatibility with biology and chymistry, and when the other neophytes of the order claimed their first optical bionics, young Ms. Ping instead demanded her Scholam-Wards bestow upon her full access to the vivisection labs and a steady flow of test-subjects.

After a promising start on a career in Xenobiologis developing weapons against the enemies of the Imperium, she saw her true calling when she met the Apexists and the Primus Humanum, and set her perfectly human eyes on joining the ranks of the Genetors. Ping now believes that the human form is a pure vessel for knowledge, the Emperor is the ideal version of this. To ensure mankinds domination of the stars, his form must evolve towards that ideal, and to guide that evolution one must find the perfect genetic essence and carefully integrate it into mankinds genepool.

Ever since her revelation (some dark secret? Her philosophy is veeery close to that of the Companions of Vogel, which is borderline heretical), she has roamed the Expanse looking for lost human civilizations, to study their development and technology. And if she encounters Xenos to study on her quest, then all the better.

Homeworld : Voidborn
Birthright : Unnatural Origin (False-Man): (300 XP).
Lure of the Void : New Horizons (Archeotechonolgist): (250 XP).
Trials and Travails : Darkness (Dark Secret): 200 XP).
Motivation : Knowledge (Knowledge is Power, Guard it well): (300 XP).
Career Path : Explorator (with intention on taking Genetor at Rank 3)

Both of you sounds ok.

I'm working on the Obsidian portal wiki, trying to get acostumed to it.

Hey guys, I know I'm pretty new around here but if there is space for one more I'd love to join in. I briefly played in an RT game some time ago but then the group blew up and my current face to face group is pretty well married to D&D so other than that my experience is limited. I own the core book, but nothing else though I'd be willing to pick up any of the books in PDF format that might be required/useful.

Oh, and as for character concept, given my relative lack of experience and years of playing Imperial Guard in the tabletop plus a very groggy wargaming background in general I'd probably lean towards something in the Arch Militant department. From what I see as far as the other characters posted so far no one seems to be filling the role of being the guy that hammers square pegs into round holes with enough force that it doesn't matter anyhow.

I don't have a problem with another meatshield to stand between me and the enemy player joining us, though Moredchai's going to be GMing it so send a PM perhaps? We've moved our discussion over to https://the-false-dynasty.obsidianportal.com/ so if you send me your e-mail or Obsidian Portal username I'll invite you to it and you can join us. We're currently still in the "freewheeling character origin" stage of planning.

Enjoy life as an artificial construct created by unknown individuals for unknown purposes!

Ex-Guard would fit nicely into the group. You don't really need anything other than the main book and the False Man Origin that we're all taking (which is in Into the Storm, but we could message you). As Era noted, we've moved a lot of the discussion over to Obsidian Portal (link above) which, if you sign up for, he can add you into our group.

See you there!

I haven't heard from him yet, and though we're finalizing up our backstory creation there's still room for anyone else who'd like to join. Just send me or Mordechai a message with your E-Mail or Obsidian Portal name and we can get you hooked up.

I am not looking to join the game, but will it be readable by the public or will it only be available to accepted persons?

I haven't tried, but I believe you should be able to read some of the Obsidian Portal material even as a guest. In addition, we are planning/hoping to at least post regular summaries of our adventures in the Fan-Fiction section of this forum.
