Flying Carpet VS. Cloak of Feathers

By Mr. Brogger, in Talisman

One of the treasure cards in the dungeon I have never considered to take is the Cloak of feathers.

Clockwork Owl seems munch better. Cloak Of Feathers is actually just: "Reroll your move as long as you have fate" - and the one use teleport.

Even Flying carpet seems munc greater to me.

Anyone who can explaine me the great thing about Cloak of feathers or does anyone else agree with me ?

Cloak of Feathers is one of the best treasures you can grab.

With Cloak of Feathers, you never run out of fate ! ( edit) For movement at least ! )

Each time you pay a fate, you may replenish one fate ( so you get that fate token back again !

----------------

Second option is also powerful !

If you are in the Inner Region, you can discard the Cloak to teleport directly to the Crown of Command !!

As I remember the Cloak Of Feathers card, it says you replenish 1 fate each time you pay 1 fate to reroll your movement. Is that not right ?

I agree in the usefullnes of the teleport in inner region. So thanks for that point.

Yes, you are right.

so for movement, you never run out of fate !

With the Flying Carpet, you can only go to a space in your region if you roll a 6....( i don't have the card next to me..)

I was wondering why the card is not just saying you may reroll your move - to me it is nearly the same except you need at least one fate

to reroll with Cloak of Feathers. And that makes the cloak of feathers an even less atractable choice.

About using the teleport ability in the inner region, I have been wondering if that is even allowed. In the rulebook it says you must encounter each space to get to Crown of Command.

Can anyone solve this for me ?

Mr.Brogger,

Do you know about the Transference spell?

John Goodenough has said that you can use the Transference spell in the inner region because the text said you can use the spell instead of your normal move.

As long as the text say no dice rol(for your move)l, you can use those cards in the inner region.

And if you take a look at the cloak of feathers, then it also says that you can use it instead of your normal move

Greetings,

Hi Velhart,

Thank you for the clarification to this. I gues and hope you are right cause this is how I would like it to be.

I just got a little doubt about this one again after reading the rules for inner region. Anyway I will not bother anymore and stay to what you just said aplauso.gif
