Oh man, i just realize that the Scyk swarm benefits from this too. Serissu with 3-4 Scyks all with autothrusters is gonna be nasty.

Unfortunately not, they don't have Boost natively.

I think it's a great upgrade because it will force turret ships to make some decisions. Take the R2 shot on a low agi tank, or a shot against an autothruster interceptor who is likely to dodge out anyway.

The more you can force your opponent to attack the ships you want it to, the better off you are.

A Saber Squad pilot with Auto Thrusters and Outmaneuver looks pretty nice.

I like the upgrade because a turret ship like the Falcon might suddenly find itself in a position where it needs to go on the offensive (face towards his opponent). Otherwise, those trailing it get a significant defense bonus...

You bring up a good point. One of the benefits of this card is making it so that turret ships have to worry more about maneuvering well.

I am curious how this stacks up against a stealth devise. At first glance it looks better(at 3 or out of arc).

For me it almost puts the stealth devise on the shelf unless I use a royal guard title and take both.

Yeah, maybe. At least Autothrusters doesn't get knocked off because of a bad roll. And you can control whether Autothrusters kicks in depending on how good you are at flying.

He just needs to not have his ability cause stress. That's his biggest problem.

Let me just get this out of the way: it's a GOOD two point upgrade card that only works on a few ships, and you know, that's perfectly okay. I think it will certainly put more Interceptors on the table, which is a great thing, and even the A-Wing gets a nice little boost for the cost of Chardaan. Wonderful! That said, rolling a handful of eyeballs without a Focus will still make you pull your hair out. Aside from that, I think it's very cool. Attacking with A-Wing missiles actually sounds viable right now with this card!

Wave 5 is Christmas release, scum and villainy z and y pack will reach us by spring/summer and wave 6 will be probably summer/fall.

Such huge ships will be winter, and imperial huge ships will be still a year out (I jest, I jest)

The biggest problem with interceptors has been those times you roll those blanks against ships you can't arc dodge, because you feel helpless instead of just not playing the ships at their best. Autothrusters makes everything much more interesting again. Of course, I would still prefer Carnor with Shield and Hull upgrades instead, but Soontir can be quite a god with autothruster evade x2 + focus x2.

I foresee Wave 6 hitting MAYBE in March. Hopefully...

One thing is for sure, you won't see a lot of yt-2400 not running the HLC + Outrider. They would be about useless with 2 attack against an AT anything. The ORS is a little more on the useless side now too.

I doubt anyone is taking this over advanced cloaking device! Bonus if they do though, I hate flying against Phantoms with a passion!

Soontir feels more sturdy even though you don't have the shields.

The thing I don't like about Whisper is that you have to commit to a certain line (you can only choose to come from left or right).

I don't know, you could even drop SD if you need to.
