Auto thrusters!

Auto Thrusters are going to help bring back the jousting game. Probably also going to bring back Imperial Superiority. interceptors 4 life! Death 2 Turrets!

NVM, I've worked it out in my head now lol I was thinking of different wording really.

Mildly concerned about IG-2000.

This card would have been good enough with just the out of arc buff. With both out of arc and range 3, it makes A-wings/Interceptors far too slippery.

The only thing the combination weakens is the range-3, forward-arc shot. It just adds one more evade result to that - not really a big deal.

And if not for that, the upgrade would have literally no effect on non-turreted ships, which ya gotta admit, would be a little silly...

Not much reason. It will fold to the same things that any other large base folds to: concentrated close range fire.

It is a large base that has to dog fight. It does give him some ability to survive, but due to his PS skill and large base, it won't be too difficult to get him in arc or Range 2.

Interestingly, the Autoblaster Turrets won't give two whits about Autothrusters. I think Kavil is going to enjoy that immensely.

Yeah, I was thinkung same thing. If I remember right, ig2000 has boost icon. But autothrusters on him will help make up for him having just a single fire arc. Helps him compete against turret ships

Especially since Phantoms don't have Boost...

I'm glad it provides some benefit when turrets aren't in play, and limiting it to range 3 is good way to not make it overpowering.

Well absolutely. But Kavil with VI and an Unhinged Astro will have a solid chance against anyone that isn't Fel. An Engine Upgrade might be worth it too, just in case, but I haven't playtested that Kavil yet at all.

It's good, and will help interceptors and A-Wings quite a bit. But I don't think it means the death of any of the Han lists by any means. One extra evade is not going to destroy turret lists.

Carnor gets some surprising life out of this. Tailing a Falcon is going to be annoying for the Falcon player (especially Han).

Any YT with the Falcon title will dislike Jax on his tail. But how long will Autothrusters keep an Interceptor alive at range 1? Especially against Han w/Gunner?

It might put a little meta pressure on turret ships, but that's it. I was hoping for a far more general boost to help deal with turrets.

This is a boost for boosting ships, which is certainly nice, but it's going to do squat to rein in the mass turret play we're seeing.

So this may make Interceptors and A's more viable, but is not going to be the death of the Fat or otherwise YT builds.

Probably not. It is not the savior card many were building it up to be. It is quite good, but there were some unrealistic expectations.

I'm less worried about Phantoms or Swarms than I am simple X-wings and TIE Bombers.

Fel's going to get more help he didn't need, we'll probably see a few other good Interceptor pilots like Jax more often. A-wing survivability has never been their problem, so I don't expect to see much change there. Hard to tell what it'll mean for the Viper and IG-2000.

The lead time on development is really showing on this one. This would have been a great fix a year ago. For the current state of the game... <shrug>
