So, the Decimator is finally on the horizont for us "dirty non-con-going peasants", I can finally think about again challenging my club's reigning champion. The match size is 150 points. He is locked in as Imperial player - in between matches the champion may not change his/her faction - and his recent Imperial list included fat Firesprays and the Soontir's Hippo-Ballet - but I know him to not to be above flying dual Phantoms or Swarms.

So to cover all my bases and to stick with my theme of "Defenders go with anything" I came up with this list:

I know Isard and Fleet Officer do not stack up with another in the late game but for the Alpha-strike this should be cool.

I really like your ship choices! I like the theme and it isn't completely reliant on one gimmick so you still have some decent synergy after one ship goes. That said 150 point lists are fairly brutal when they have lots of ships. So you will be pressed to destroy enemy ships in a relatively fast pace.

The problem with Rexler I have noticed is that he shoots usually first which means he will have to go through the shields first and his ability rarely comes to play in the early stages. After initial damage has been dealt he becomes fairly good.

if course ruthlessness is good... but it takes 5 ties about 2 turns to kill off a decimator. meaning your decimator could get off one shot, and then totally die in the first round.

Great list! Ruthlessness seems like a strong card indeed. Having three in the same build would be a nightmare for the opposition.

I really like building lists of 150 points. So many possibilities. Here's one that I tried recently:

Boba Fett (VI, Recon Spec, HLC)

Whisper (VI, Gunner, ACD, FCS)

Echo (VI, Recon Spec, ACD, FCS)

So back from a weekend of putting this list to use (RL prevented me from getting there sooner); still one week out from the challange...

The concept has proven to be somewhat lacking (friendly fire situations aside), it can stand on it's own unless there are mass-stress and ion-combos around; but Kenkirk has not proven to be the "pick of the litter", so to speak. That honour goes to the Francophone ... which however leaves me with a bit question as I need to cut two points to make the upgrade to PS8. (Sadly I don't have a Lone Wolf card - and that would ruin the theme)

Isard has proven not be able to cut it inseveral cases, even with Kenkirk the amount of 3+ red dice that came my way (though mostly from Rebel and proxy-Scums list) invalidated her contribution ot the squad....
