Tarkin novel ships (slightly off topic)

By RogueCorona, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

The Wokkieepedia page for the book lists the CC-220 Detainer Interdictor Cruisers, the CC-770 frigates, the Secutor class Star Destroyers and the Carrack class Light Cruiser as appearing in the book. Has anyne read the book to confirm that though?

I know that FFG has no problem using EU material but I thought that maybe if those classes are now canon it might increase the odds of them appearing in the RPG.

I'm currently over half way through the book, and so far the CC-220 and CC-779 are mentioned on page 191. The Secutor Class destroyer "Conquest", is mentioned on page 230; and finally the Carrack Light Cruiser is mentioned on page 149.

Must admit, I was really pleased with the amount of ships, planets and people that are confirmed canon in this book.

I always liked the look and function of the interdictors, but they've always been EU until now.

It was actually pretty wonderful when they used the interdictor in the book. Especially being that it caught more than what they intended.

It sounds like they just made almost every model of Interdictor that the EU had in service during the OT era or the gap between trilogies canon. Very interesting. And I have fond memories of Carracks so its nice to see them become part of the new canon as well.

Not surprising they're still around. The canon wipe was about story not gear. An Interdictor cruiser existing isn't a problem when trying to write the script of a new film. A bunch of extra galactic nosferatu burning half the galaxy to the ground and turning the other half into an herb garden kinda set precedents that have to be accounted for...

I was hopeful that more commonly appearing and well known EU ships like the Carrack would make the transition but its nice to have that confirmed. And the CC-series ships aren't that well known so them showing up is a very pleasant surprise.
