New SWLCG podcast -Ion Control

By AussieJedi, in Star Wars: The Card Game

I am proud to announce that a couple of us regular SWLCG players decided to get together and create a brand new SWLCG podcast; Ion Control.

The FB page is now live, so please go and like us there:

https://www.facebook.com/IonControlPodcast

Also, our first episode is up there, so give us a listen and give us some quality feedback.

Let us know if you would like to hear anything in particular. We have some topics for the next couple of episodes, but can hopefully accomodate it shortly thereafter.

Listening to the podcast now. I'm not usually a podcast listener... but I'm enjoying it thus far.

Cheers

Thanks, pretty excited that we did this and have people listening already. Was there anything that stood out to you, is there anything that you would like us to cover? Tell your friends about us.

I can't get enough of this podcast's title! It's +a film reference that +is not potentially applicable to any other CCG*, and that +doesn't share its name with an entirely different Star Wars game. I've been paying attention long enough to say with a reasonable certainty that yours is the first SWLCG podcast to fulfill all three of these wholly arbitrary conditions that has made itself known here, so kudos to you! :)

*I'm trying to get this acronym to stand for "customizable card game" so that it can be used to refer to LCGs as well as other card games both random and fixed (because other companies have jumped into the fixed production model concept and "LCG" has the annoying qualifier of being a Fantasy Flight product), but at this point I'm starting to think "fetch" is more likely to happen. :P

You would be amazed how many names we went through and how long it took us to get one all three of us liked, was Hoth applicable and LCG applicable. Lol.

wow! What a complement!. Yeah, Toqtamish, Dan and I probably discussed a good 15 names, but each one we went back and forth on for a while. When we finally decided on the name, we found out we couldn't use it. It was quite the journey!

Marth... tell all your friends to listen to the podcast, also what do you like about it, or maybe dislike. All the feedback helps.

Doesn't 'Frozen in Carbonite' fit that trinity, lol.

Glad to see another podcast and one that represents the great white north. Thank you Canada!

Whoops! I've actually never heard of Frozen in Carbonite, but sure enough, that fits all three as well. It also suggests a love of tactics icons, which I have to admit are pretty important to the game.

Will do. I've already suggested the Facebook page to some of my chums who are into the game.
