New year wishes – cooperative

By Gendalm, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

I have noticed there is a lot of interest on cooperative quests both in this forum and in bgg, and I would like to collect some expectations (and ideas) we have about it.

Personally I would be very glad if ffg will publish shorter cooperative quests providing more replayability (see the variants I have tested in http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1247272/increase-replayability-additional-randomness-reduc ) but maybe you have also good ideas for a cooperative campaign. :)

Wrong forum.

I assume an admin moved this thread to the proper location, since it certainly looks like it's in the correct forum now.

I thought I posted it in the right forum but if I was wrong (and indeed the post has already been moved) I would be glad to start again the discussion. ^_^

Right now I am waiting for FFG to release "Nature's Ire" for everybody since I would like to mix it with "Forgotten Soul" in order to increase more the replayability of the game.

For the future I would really like if FFG release a cooperative expansion which will include different final rooms (and objectives) according to the evolution of the game.

To put it in a schematic way:

- four decks, one per type of main encounter (setup, first main encounter, second main encounter and final room)

- one deck of "common" tiles easily adaptable to different background and context

The final room (and objective) will be determined by the other main encounters (the first and the second, eventually also the starting setup) which will be drawn by the players during the game.

What do you think about it ? :)

I would also like to see a co-op campaign and/or solo/co-op rules to play the existing campaigns solo/co-op. I have been researching some of the fan made variants on bgg and am itching to try them.
