New pilot: Zev Senesca
I don't get the thematic link.
"Hey it's Biggs #2"
EDIT: Sry, constructive part coming now:
1) I'd give it a range limit because otherwise you could give a lot of abilites an unlimited range with little risk
2) Limit the ability to a bit; focus on the activation of an ability not any effect an ability could have - otherwise it will break some token-tosser abiliies
3) Stress him for it, so it again limits the range of very powerful abilites used at unlimited range
Best make it:
"If a firendly ship at Range 2 checks range to activate/fullfill the conditions of an ability, you may measure from this ship instead. Then you recieve a stress token"

It might be slightly reaching for it, but in the movies he's the one searching for Han and Luke. It's like he was the eyes for the HQ who were looking for him. In the case of this card, he would be the eyes for whoever is using an ability. For example, when a ship can give a free action to a friendly ship at range 1, it could instead assign the action to a friendly ship that is at range 1 of Zev instead of from himself.
This ability is very interesting. . .
Does it include Huge ships? Because the Jamming action from the Medium Transport might be too much. Or the Ionization Reactor.

I would also limit it to "Once per turn..."
Make the player choose which ability to extend the range of.
I just had the same thought, but I was thinking stress would work better than "once per turn"...
So it would be:
"If an friendly ship at Range 2 checks range to trigger an ability and you have no stress tokens, you may check the range from this ship. Then recieve 1 Stress token."

You guys have good points. It should definitely be once per turn, and perhaps it should always convert the abilities range to range 1, so for instance an ability that is range 1-3, must be range 1 from Zev instead of 1-3.
Cool idea! I"ll agree to the once per turn lmiit. Biggs would be interesting with this guy. Fly biggs back at Range 3, but his protection would carry over?
It might be slightly reaching for it, but in the movies he's the one searching for Han and Luke.
I could swear that was Wedge.
I seriously doubt we will see an ability like this. It creates WAY too many rules questions/issues. Is a neat Idea, but ask WotC about Clone *shudder*.
I would much rather see Zev as a skill 6 or 7 so he can get an EPT. Porkins just doesn't quite cut the muster for my squads even though he is point efficient for the EPT.

I think It's Tiree..

No it was Zev.
How about
"When a friendly ability would target you, it may target another friendly ship in Range 1 instead"
Also: As a PS4 pilot, I don't feel he should have an EPT slot.
Edited by godofcheeseWasn't Zev's 'big thing' spotting Han and Luke?
Also If you look at the other PS3 and 5 Pilots (Tarn and Hobbie) both have an ability related to Target Locks and no EPT.
I think Zev's Pilot card would read:
PS :: 1 or 4
Atk :: 3
Agi :: 2
HP :: 3
SP :: 2
"Friendly ships within Ranges 1-3 may acquire Target Locks from You when performing a Target Lock Action."
Cost: 21 (PS1) or 24 (PS4)
Yeah, we definitely need more X-wing pilots!
Not a big fan of Zev because Wedge should have been getting all that screen time.
