We spoke with two time Worlds Champion Paul Heaver about his win at the 2014 Worlds Championship. He spoke of the preparation it took to get ready for the Worlds tournament. There was a power point involved. We covered the epic game from the Vassal 3 tournament between Theorist and Paul and how we'd like to see them recreate such a game. Paul covers some Turn 0 subjects on how the game can be won before dice are rolled. Paul choooses his two worlds he claims for winning twice (Hoth is already claimed by Doug Kinney).

I let Paul pick the intro and outro song for the Podcast since he won Worlds. He trolls well.

Consider that fixed!

The Shuttle is the MOST efficient ship in the game. If you can fly well with it you have a huge advantage.

It's great to listen to Paul talk about his prep for worlds. Really great stuff there.

This one ended up being the longest interview so far.

Paul is a great guy. It was a pleasure being able to talk with him.

I liked his comment about those unique lists that people make work. We have some guys locally that do that too.

These interviews have been 'eye-opening' for a beginner like myself. Paul's comments (and his Turn Zero articles) regarding the importance of a pre-game have made me look at the game in a different light. I am currently spending too much time (according to the wife) on the kitchen table placing asteroids and practising opening moves. Like chess openings, I'm finding this all a little addictive!

Great interview!

This is where Paul spends most of his preparation. I think that's very telling.
