Star Wars Ep 7 trailer coming with hobbit movie.

By Cubanboy, in X-Wing

Not sure if I am late to the party but I heard this morning on the radio that EP7 trailer will be included with Hobbit in Dec.

The only good reason to watch the hobbit movie, probably.

This is the 1 minute teaser trailer they have been talking about right?

There are also rumors it WON'T be with the Hobbit, but more likely with one of Disney's TV shows, or maybe it's own release online or something. At this point I'm not trusting anything until there's an official announcement.

Meh I'm not going to bother with the third hobbit film the 2nd part was a disappointment too much legolas too much bad cgi and a ridiculous end fight involving the dwarves.

I'll catch it on YouTube.

I will probably have to skip the trailers then. I don't want any spoilers for EP7

Go for the trailer, leave before the movie begins.

I worked for a movie theater and we sold out shows for some movie simply because it had Phantom Menace attached. People paid their 8 bucks, watched the trailer and left.

EDIT: It was Meet Joe Black, in case anyone was wondering.

Very cool if this is true.

If it was Meet Joe Black, they made the right choice in leaving. Too bad Phantom Menace was equally garbage.

There will be lightsabers, aliens, and at least one character will say "I've got a bad feeling about this."

Buying a movie ticket to watch a short trailer seems like a terrible return on his investment.

Yeah, I remember stories of people doing that back then. I wouldn't, personally, heh.

Or he can go to a multiplex and get a ticket for a movie he wants to see that starts 30 minutes or so after The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies, then sneak in and watch the trailers. I do it all the time.

Guys,

I am psyched for the Hobbit movie.

I've been a Tolkien fan for just about as long as I've been a SW fan. They both came onto my mental map when I was 8 years old - though I had been exposed to the SW toys before then, I didn't know what they referred to.

I understand that they depart from the book, and I'm perfectly fine with that.

But, I'm glad to learn that the SW trailer will be in the movie. I can now try not to watch the SW trailer so that I can see it on the big screen. :)

The Hobbit was my first introduction to fantasy. I had to read it as part of my junior high english class and do a book report on it back in the early 70's...yeah, I'm THAT old. It got me into reading hard core to this day.

Thank you. I now feel a little more comfortable to say that I f*cking loved both Hobbit films and really want to see the third one. Diversions here and there from source material, that's fine. Especially when the source material is 77 years old, it's okay to revise or extend a couple things if you ask me.

Joining the chorus that liked both Hobbit movies, although overall I think An Unexpected Journey was better than Desolation of Smaug. Legolas did not need to be there, although it was nice to see him lose a fight. I also wasn't a fan of the romance subplot, they go from barely knowing each other to speaking in drug-induced poetry way too fast. Still, it was cool seeing Thorin demonstrate some serious flaws and Smaug himself was great even if the fight between him and the dwarves was really clumsily handled. There was more to criticize in the second than there was in the first, but I'm still absolutely going to see Battle of the Five Armies and I'm confident I'll enjoy it.

Also the movie makes a lot more sense if you think of it as Bilbo telling it the way he remembers, which might not be that accurate after so many years. For example, his fear of Smaug could make him think that Smaug came closer to killing the dwarves than he really did. I don't think that was intentional by the writers/director, but it does fit very well with Bilbo starting to write his book in the first movie and neatly explains a lot of the issues with the movie.

I was okay with the second movie up to the barrel bit then it lost me, there was no need for it to be a action scene there was really no need to have legolas turn up for it and the bad cgi just stood out like a sore thumb, after that it just kept going down hill for me.

And I'm not spending £8 to see a trailer, trailers can mislead anyway.

The battle of the five armies will be one of the best fantasy battles you will ever see on the big screen, its gonna be epic.

Looking forward to get this sooooooo much more than the next star (bugger all) wars film.

Peter Jackson is a much better director than JJ by far
