Stealth starfighter

By Gadge, in X-Wing

Look at the picture I posted a link to, the cannon doesn't swing to the side. It separates and the barrel flips up with the cockpit.

As to the cannon being blown off, just one more thing to go wrong. I think the russians tried to rig a system for a helicopter ejection system where the blades were blown off. It was scrapped because the timing was never right.

Was it scrapped. I was sure the Havoc and the Hokum used that system. I think it was actually the russians who did it first.

Why does everyone blame JJ for everything? He's directing, but that doesn't give him the power to glance at something and change it on a whim. He has bosses, guys. He also has less input than you seem to think on what the designs of ships and setting will look like, so blaming him for redesigning ships is really pointless. Especially since apparently the E-Wing so many of us hate is the one we're arguing about now.

Also, can we stop throwing tantrums over the expanded universe? There was some good stuff in there, but there were also Yuuzan Vong and Dark Empire, among other terrible or mishandled ideas. The issue with continuing to expand the EU over and over again is that eventually everything gets convoluted and it strains suspension of disbelief that Luke has done all the things he's done (how many wars has he fought by now?) or that anything can possibly challenge him after the fifth time he rediscovers some ancient Force technique that wrecks everything. They could still screw it up, sure, but this is a great chance to take the good parts of the EU and leave out the more regrettable stories. People really need to stop pretending that the EU was perfect.

On top of that, what does it matter if it's canon? Oh no, they won't mention Thrawn in the movies. You can still enjoy the books he was in. Disney isn't going to show up at your house and set fire to them. Honestly, given how they had to create a hierarchy of what overrides what, a lot of things you liked might not have technically been canon anyway.

Also, I never liked Star Trek. I found it very boring, on the few attempts I made to watch it. The reboot is the only time I have ever enjoyed anything with the Star Trek logo on it. Star Wars may be different, since I actually like Star Wars, but I do think that successfully making me enjoy a Star Trek film is kind of impressive.

When it comes to film's the buck ends with the director it's his vision that dictates everything, will he know every detail no, is it his fault if the movie sucks absolutely.

Guys, this model is based off of the E-wing, but it is from the non-canon Lego Yoda Chronicles series. It isn't canon. It isn't actually an E-wing.

As for Jar Jar Binks...... STOP CHANGING EVERYTHING FOR THE SAKE OF CHANGING EVERYTHING!!!!!

P.S. Why does everyone think it's super ugly?? Looks better than a B-wing for sure.

Dude don't forget that now NOTHING is canon anymore but 6 movies a horrible animated series where characters have non-scale heads, and some future stuff yet to come...

Expanded Universe along with most our X-Wing ships was buried by Disney.

I am not mad at Lego, but i will never forgive what they have done to my beloved collection of books and games. Some of them were litterally masterpieces! Not all, but some!

I have never had anything against the old E-Wing model, but this one just looks epic, now FFG, would you please take the ones back i have bought from you and send me such ones XD!

It is very likely that the stuff that made Star Trek boring for you is why I, and many others enjoyed it. Abrams changed so much of what Star Trek was that the reason I liked Star Trek is gone from his movies. There are plenty of other options for a mindless fast paced space action movie, why hammer Star Trek into one when it has a fanbase that liked it for other reasons?

I am glad you enjoyed the movie but realize that it came at a cost to me and many other Star Trek fans, so we have solid reasoning to be upset at the people responsible.

What if we just let preemptive haters talk to themselves? Life would be much easier and more enjoyable.

Non scale heads? Last I checked the show wasn't designed to have CoD level realistic visuals, I believe the proper term is a "stylised" look. I happen to quite like TCW.
