By talismanisland, in Talisman

Well, it's been a while coming, but the first ten questions and answers from the feature promised at the beginning of the year has now been posted over at Talisman Island.

http://www.talismanisland.com/20questions_johng_part1.htm

Hopefully the second lot of questions will be available in the next few weeks, but I am sure there is enough there to be mulling over!

I hope you enjoy reading!

The smalest character is probably hobbit, an the biggest? Mayby minotaur....any ideas?

That's a lot of interesting questions !!!gran_risa.gif

I give my thanks to John Goodenough for taking his time to answer the first 10 questions and Jon New for putting it on the Talisman Island site !

Thanks for this great article, just enough to keep my hunger for more Talisman at bay for a while. My guess as to the largest and smallest miniatures: Centaur and Sprite.

Very interesting information for the future of Talisman. I look forward to see what the new stuff is all about.

My first gues for miniatures was also minotaur and hobit/halfling, maybe becouse they were presented in 3th. edetion Talisman.

Thanks to Talismanisland for selecting very good questions and John goodenough for taking the time to answer them.aplauso.gif

Now we have a little more insight into the light/dark fate token, that was a previous post from me.

Contrary to Archdruid, these hints and answers make me want to have these expansions even more quicklyllorando.gif

Also can't wait to see part 2demonio.gif

Cheers.

centauer and sprite also sounds good happy.gif

About tall characters and small characters...

Minotaur is the most tall character in the Talisman world

And the Leprechaun is the smallest character in that world

Any idea on how the new fate will work ?

My gues is that dark fate goes to evil and ligth to good, becouse he explaines it is eaisier to replenish dark fate and it is already easier for evil to replenish fate. But if it is something like that I do not know how it will work for neutral serio.gif

"The last winter in Minnesota was bone-chilling and it even snowed a few times in April. This may have had some influence on certain cards."

Any idea what he ment with that ?

I think that each character can have dark and light tokens.

Light tokens can you use for your own character and dark tokens can you use against other players.

The only question for me is: how do you obtain them.

If you gain fate, how do you know if it will be light or dark fate.

It is possible that you can decide it yourself. You gain fate as normal but can use the dark or the light side of it.

We know already that you can use a dark token against a other player, who must roll at the enchantress and are forced to turn into a toad !demonio.gif

Hi Velhart,

I think that as for the fate token, it will be either a dice roll or the new cards that are hint at in the interview that will be use as the mechanic.

Example could be like: 1-Turn into a frog, 2 to 5- get dark fate token, 6- get light fate token, as for cards the ratio could be: 1 light fate token per 5 dark fate token and 2 turn into a frog, so 1 out of every 8 cardssorpresa.gif

I'm kinda sure there will be cards that tell you to turn your favorite opponent into toad, I wonder again if you can be turn into a toad at the crown of command, and if yes, can you still cast the spell? I would say no but I never encounter this kind of situation in all my years of playing talisman.

So can you be a slimy toad for 3 turn and then resume casting command spelldemonio.gif

And also since all expansion will have a ratio of equal male/female, can we expect a female compagnon for the reaper something called the reaperesspartido_risa.gif

Well even frankenstein got a female partner for a while....gran_risa.gif

Hi Old Master,

I think that you can use the dark token for more things than only the enchantress. But for rolling a die for it, is a riddle.

I am almost sure that the new cards contain the ending cards.gui%C3%B1o.gif See random endings topic for my explanationgran_risa.gif

If you are a toad at the Crown of Command, you cannot cast the spell

----------

If the Reaper gets a female compagnon, then that would be really difficultdemonio.gif

But i would be more than happy if Frankenstein will show up as a adventure card, and maybe they can add his bride too ! partido_risa.gif

The character would have to be smaller than a toad so maybe you can play a brownie. I'm talking about the little guys from the willow movie not the food

The biggest mini would be a dragon. If you could play a dragon character that would be so awesome

A dragon miniature?

Nah, If the Dragon expansion will come too( i hope so ! ) then we have already a lot of dragons in the talisman world.

To play as a dragon itself is a little to far...preocupado.gif

I am looking forward to part two of the 20 questions, that will be answered by John Goodenoughgran_risa.gifgran_risa.gifgran_risa.gif

Bring it on ! aplauso.gif

Well, nothing can stop John from slowly introducing dragons before the dragon expansion is releasedgran_risa.gif

Certainly not me as it would be nice to have some more dragons in the adventure deckgran_risa.gifgran_risa.gif

Dragons + Dragon Tower is a wonderful combination !!gran_risa.gifgran_risa.gifgran_risa.gif

But it will not be a problem for me, if they release it as separate expansions gui%C3%B1o.gif

I wouldn't mind seeing a few more Dragons to battle against. I am sure we will get a whole lot of EVERYTHING in future...
